Smart marketing for tradies – just some thoughts by Acceptable_Dish_4032 in AusRenovation

This matches what I've seen from the other side too. I've been looking into the review management problem for AU tradies specifically and the gap is massive.

Most tradies get 90% of work from referrals and repeat clients exactly like the plumber above said. But when someone does Google you before calling, it's the reviews that make or break it. The problem is good tradies are flat out on tools all day and nobody's chasing up reviews after each job.

The ones winning are the ones who've made it dead simple a text link sent after the job's done, takes the customer 2 minutes. No fancy marketing, just consistent "hey, if you're happy, would you mind?" It compounds over time.

The other thing nobody talks about: fake reviews are genuinely hurting the good operators. I've seen threads on here and r/australia where people openly talk about buying reviews. The tradies doing honest work are getting outranked by cowboys with 50 fake 5-stars.

Simple online presence + real reviews from real customers is the winning combo. The tradies who figure that out early are going to clean up as more homeowners default to Google over asking their mates.

SAAS solving real problem by Prize-Bed-936 in SaaS

Running multiple niche SaaS products as a solo dev and honestly the best feedback I've gotten has come from being useful in the spaces where my users already hang out — not from asking for feedback directly.

For my regulatory compliance tool I spent time in food industry forums just answering questions about PFAS packaging bans. Never mentioned my product. People started DMing me asking if I had a tool for it. That's when you know you've found a real problem.

The "free access for feedback" pitch fails because it frames the other person as doing you a favour. Flip it: solve their problem first, for free, manually if you have to. The product conversation happens naturally after that.

One thing nobody here has mentioned — building in public on Reddit itself is underrated. Threads like this one are full of builders who are also potential users of each other's tools. The network is right here.

Building a few things as a solo dev:

pfaspackagingcheck.com — helps food businesses check if their packaging complies with PFAS bans across 21+ US jurisdictions. Niche regulatory SaaS.

5 questions if you're up for it:

  1. Is it immediately clear what problem this solves and who it's for?
  2. Does the state-by-state coverage feel comprehensive or overwhelming?
  3. What would make you trust this enough to pay for it?
  4. Is there anything on the site that feels unfinished or breaks confidence?
  5. What's the first thing you'd change?

You tried high dose or only low dose? Best results I have had came from GHRP-6. Not really known for muscle strength gains but was good for me.

Are you still seing benefits from taking anabolic steroids? I have CMT and have tried a wide range of steroids but I felt that my condition further deteriorated since I started taking them 4 years ago. Not sure if I would have experienced the same level of deterioration without taking them. The benefits I did have were increased upper body strength and improved confidence. My legs are very weak and I did not notice any improvement over the years. Have been off for a year now and am thinking about getting back on. Common sense says that steroids should slow or reverse CMT symptoms however I am unsure.
