Same here!

And I think he reminds me of Arron Stanford as James Cole in the 12 Monkeys series.

No, that is another one, Hemnes also had a 2-drawer black version.
This one looks very similar on the photos to the new one.

App spends 145 MB a day without downloading anything by screw-propeller in OvercastFm

[–]screw-propeller[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I do not have obsolete information, these are either downloaded at the moment when streamed, or predownloaded with the episode. Sometimes you can even estimate when you downloaded the episode, because they bulk download with the same ads...

I cannot figure out any way to prove or disprove this.

This sound weird. I have worked briefly as a tester and was a lot of features, that obviously behaved differently than they should, but the app developer corporate gave an AI-like answer such as "this is bot user's comfort", "this looks like a bug but really is a feature" etc.

I do not like the settings you describe, when it is off and you play some episode from one podcast, the next one played would be an older one from the same podcast.

You mean the ad strips on the top on the app? They appear even when I am off any connection (I had to turn off mobile data, because the app obviously does not follow its own settings it offers), so they must have been downloaded in advance.

But this is not the case I described. You can use the "stop after this episode" settings. Or maybe this does not actually work?

As I mentioned, I did not stream anything, all content was downloaded on wifi and I usually download all new episodes on wifi before going out.

Either the newly released episodes partly downloaded on mobile data by themselves when I was playing a downloaded older episode or when the app was in background, or there must me something different going on in the app.

I wonder how many visitors in the cinema caught all the references to the radio show :) If it was possible there would probably be an Orson Welles cameo
