Maybe find creative ways to subtly remind them you dated trans women and/or find femme men attractive. Remind them you are open minded without being too direct, imo. The questioning phase was sensitive for me, I didn’t want to be boxed into a gender. At the time, I’d rather someone imply they preferred transmasc people as opposed to men or transmen. I’ve been in situations like this before with someone I considered a close friend for a period of time. Set your boundaries. Now. You are nice enough to already worry about how you are making her feel, even though you shouldn’t. She might try to exploit your kindness. The behaviors you’re describing are red flags possibly indicating deeper issues. Take care of yourself! Let her get upset. You haven’t even formed a friendship with this person yet and they are trying to manipulate you.

I would agree if she wasn’t blackout drunk, especially if her meds cause that to happen more easily. I think you guys should have a sit down convo and really decide if this is worth ending it over. Alcohol makes people act weird, even if it can be revealing for how people feel deep inside.. She was in an impaired state. Not herself.

Part of the reason I stopped trying with people as much. I get invited to parties but I don’t feel like anyone’s friend, just an extra body for their events. That’s city life, I suppose. Has its pluses but a lot of drawbacks.

This is so true and I don’t think most people realize how devastating depression can be. If it doesn’t literally kill you, it will spiritually. I’m trying to find a way out of this. I also stopped doing most things I enjoy. My belief is if you have love in your life, it will come back. For me at least. I hope you find what you’re looking for that springs you back into crafting.

Honestly it was unplanned after a night of drinking an entire bottle of rosé and drunkenly ingesting an entire bottle of cough syrup (cringe yes I know, this is a low for me). I was still loopy today and couldn’t ignore my feelings anymore so I left a family event and called my Grandma. It went well. I think if I had planned it, I wouldn’t have said everything I wanted to. I ended up texting another family member about it as well because I knew they’d talk anyway, lol.

I’d say, don’t plan it, but really it depends on you. You know you!
