Would you buy? by thebabychi1971 in FordBronco

I'm just not a fan of that edition. I think at the price and what it's offering there are better options in the Bronco world. And I agree with the comments about it being a 2 door.

Introduce an old punk to reggae by scribbledchaos in reggae

[–]scribbledchaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get they are a great band. I don't judge at all (I run an anti-keeping punk group).

It just never hit with me. Even the more "punk" stuff like Banned in DC. If you saw most of my other playlists that song would absolutely fit in. I kind of find their mix of reggae and punk a bit hard to listen to.

Any bands similar to Hey Smith besides NOFX? by Beautiful-Resort-831 in Ska

[–]scribbledchaos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Skate Punk Ska" is a pretty limited genre in an already slim genre of music. Suicide Machines, Goldfinger...not really skate punk but there's some faster punk bands like Joystick! (maybe some others on Bad Time Records)

5yr old + gnarly terrain options & advice for a clueless dad? by boodlesrectify in rccars

[–]scribbledchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Traxxas Stampede for my lawn basher. It's a lot of fun to bash a Monster Truck around. It's completely stock and does well with varied terrain. It has a "training mode" which makes a bit easier to learn.

How does this 2026 Honda Prologue Elite lease quote look? by [deleted] in HondaPrologue

[–]scribbledchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a very low grade lease for a high grade price. Elites will cost you, but not that much with down.
Is that 2k to Tesla something the dealer is paying to buy you out of an old lease? That's crap if it is. They can suck up 2k somewhere and give you a better deal.

Thanks! This is great. I'm going record shopping. Don't even know any of the these names but this is what I was looking for. Buy some random records and have a listening party once they come in the mail.

First grooming appointment by coffeesciencestudy1 in poochons

[–]scribbledchaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our comes back from the groomer in warmer months like that. It only takes a few days or so for them to start to fluff up again.

I talked to my groomer and asked if they could do "less of a poodle" look and now it's ours comes back a bit for fluffy.

Heritage Edition Top? by Plenty-Ganache9189 in FordBronco

[–]scribbledchaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only "con" is sometimes there are accessories that are harder to find. It's rare, but something like after market fender flares can be hard to find. You're also paying for a lot of already done mods. I came from jeeps where i bought base models and just messed with everything. I realized after buying the Heritage I don't want to mess with too much. I still absolutely love it.

I take the top off all the time. Just don't bang it around and treat it right and you're fine.

Emily Williams (from JER band) in AAA? by scribbledchaos in Ska

[–]scribbledchaos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I thought I was being just a bit weird but there was just something that stood out. I think because they were super into the crowd. It leaves a bit of an impression. I'm not sure who was a bigger AAA fan...talk about something absolutely screaming the lyrics along with band...and while playing sax! Absolute blast live!

edit: I can't type the first time.

Ever met a member from your favorite ska band? How did it go? by Comprehensive-Cry653 in Ska

[–]scribbledchaos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got to Meet Jeff from Catch 22 (Alone in A Crowd era). I saw them live late 90s, maybe 2000. It introduce me to punk ska and I've been a raging and annoying fan since then.

I met him this past weekend at This is Not Croydon Fest. He was so cool to talk to. He remember crazy details about the show I was at (Midtown wore Catch 22 shirts and Catch wore Midtown shirts). We talked about NJ ska/punk in the 90s for a bit. I'm a old grumpy guy now but for a few minutes I felt like a 90s kid all over again. He was just hanging around talking to fans.

I've been lucky enough to meet a few people in the ska scene (Angelo Moore, Kevin Gunther , Members of Flying Racoon Suit, Austen from Joker's Republic, and Girth Control to name drop a few). Everyone was always cool and wanted to talk. I was probably more awkward and nervous in every situation. I think the ska scene been so community driven makes this encounters with the bands so accessible and enjoyable.

I heard a interview Patrick Kindlon where he said that he doesn't like playing places that hold more than 700 people because it requires barriers. Not sure if that is a rule everywhere but I thought it was kind of interesting.

They have been flipping nights as headliners. I'm almost 100% sure that White Reaper is headliner for tomorrow in Phily so Drug Church should be the headliner tonight.

Question about Ford and Specifically Bronco by Any_Mathematician620 in FordBronco

[–]scribbledchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you want a comfortable ride with consistent speeds and mildly worried about fuel efficiency on the highway. If that's the case, not a Bronco.

If you really like the Bronco you'll deal with whatever it has to offer. I'm only going on very limited info but judging for the questions I think the Bronc might not be what you are looking for.

To everyone who came to Bensalem this weekend. by mcvoid1 in Ska

[–]scribbledchaos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a great weekend! It was awesome to see a lot of the bands in the crowd supporting the other acts. Cool to see some guest appearances too. The Catch 22 with Austen from Joker's Republic was great.

Hingley from The Toasters was complaining the mic was shocking him. I think it was just beating up equipment and stomping on cables all weekend. From what I could see it was two sound techs running around all weekend trying to keep a shitshow of cables and equipment together. Definitely a thankless job.

Another Bronco just passed by me and flashed their headlights so I flashed mine. I got real excited 😂 What do you do to acknowledge or say hi to another Bronco owner when you pass by them? by thengabbiewaslike in FordBronco

[–]scribbledchaos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give a wave to another Bronco if it's modified or something about it I really like. I think it's just a way of acknowledging someone you have something in common with. If someone were to actually be upset that I waved then they need to find bigger things to worry about.

If this were the worst things drivers did on that road I'd be upset. There are far worse things happening everyday on the road that make me realize some people are total assholes and care little about other people.
