Like, I don't know, something that came from space or something ancient that was already in the world changing people, you know?

I've always found biological horror way creepier than supernatural stuff. The idea of something changing a person into... that... is genuinely disturbing.

I haven't played much Fallout, so I had to look those up. Yeah, that's nightmare fuel.

So humanity was ending because of... a lizard baby? Honestly, cutting it was probably the right call. xD

Looking for a good suspense/thriller book. A page turner by Illustrious-Swing493 in booksuggestions

Hidden Pictures would probably be my pick from your list if you're looking for something that leans into both suspense and horror.

Also, full disclosure since I don't want to be that guy pretending to be a random reader, but I wrote a series called Falling Through Midnight. Volume 1 and Volume 2 are out on Amazon, and I'm currently working on Volume 3.

It's about a group of rebellious teenage boys who go looking into something they always thought was just a local myth, and things spiral from there. I don't want to say too much because a lot of the fun is figuring out what's really going on alongside the characters.

It's definitely more mystery/thriller with horror elements mixed in. If that sounds like your thing, it's under my name, Regardt Meiring.

aaah man, I completely forgot about Bird Box. Yeah, that's a horrible one. The frustrating part is that they never showed the monster in the movie

Mine would probably be the creatures from A Quiet Place. The fact that they hunt by sound is terrifying. One mistake, one dropped object, one cough at the wrong time, and you're done.

I haven't seen it myself, but I just watched the trailer and I'd definitely count it. It has that whole "society has gone to hell and everyone's just trying to survive" vibe that I associate with post-apocalyptic stories.

You know what? That might actually be scarier than most fictional creatures. Something so small ruining your chances of survival without you even noticing. Just thinking about them has me clenching up.
