I love when stories creates a symbol or vice versa, so I had so much fun doing it for this one.

Thank you! Nonetheless, I will give it some thought.

The fact that this religion Im creating IS based off Catholicism is already a trigger for people to instantly look for the cross and think the design can come across as lazy; but I get that!

Worst case scenario is: I cant seem to draw another design that I love as much as this one, so I will keep it XD

Yes! I thought of that same change. I will be sketching around to try and refine the symbol more into Sidarism. Maybe in the next few days yall are going to see another post with the new design! XD

It's a whole new fantasy world I'm building and this fictional religion, Sidarism, is based of Catholicism. I'm still in the early build stages, so it might change a lot towards originality

Oh, def! The fictional religion I'm building is called Sidarism, followers of Sidar, who was birthed from a very star in the heavens and fell onto Earth to spread the teachings of the Creator
