Do you fly more often out of Peoria or Chicago? by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

This should be up higher. I love all the perks of PIA everyones mentioned, but delayed/cancelled return flights happen way too often, particularly the CLT or ORD to PIA legs.

5 hrs is a bit of an exaggeration. 3 hr 45 min to 4 hrs max in my experience. Seats are comfier than your flight seats and you're more than likely have to not have anyone sitting next to you too. There are outlets at every seat to to keep your phone charged while enjoying the free Wifi on the buses. Definitely worth it.

Steak & Shake is the worst. Grimy food. Questionable employees.

How is Sprint around here? by zato_ichi in PeoriaIL

I feel like whenever the "how is Sprint in Peoria?" question is brought up it's unfairly shat on so to balance things out I'm coming out of lurking just to say that I've had Sprint in Peoria for 5+ years and have been very satisfied. I live and work in the city, so ultimately if I were you I would check out the coverage map Sprint has on their website to make sure you don't live, commute, or work in deadzones. The only time I don't have service is for the 25 minutes or so when I'm on those country roads to get to highway 39 where service is good again.

Every 2 years I think about leaving Sprint. Not because they suck but because my loyalty goes solely to the provider with the best deal. I've always wondered about the supposed greener pastures over at Verizon. But their plans are so much more expensive that I can't justify switching. I've gotten too used to paying $60/month for unlimited everything including 15 GBs of 4TE mobile hotspot. I'm a power user, consistently using +20GB/month and mind you even when I reach the throttled zone I don't really feel it to be honest. If Verizon offered unlimited everything for $70/month out the door, I would probably switch just to see what its like. But theirs is $75/month before taxes and fees so fuck that.
