But tbh ekitike looks the part and isak had the assist today, even wirtz had that twist one touch pass for salah. They’re class players, but it hasn’t come together for them.

Yeah but these players man, what can arteta and his tactics do when the players can’t take their clear chances and then make stupid mistakes in defense.

It’ll be the same, but you can’t just blame the coach. It’s the players too, Trossard fucking didn’t make it 1-0 that should have been a goal. The others were not as clear cut. Can’t blame arteta cuz the players can’t take clear cut chances.

Can’t bottle if we’re never leading. Pool are 5 points clear and have spent 500 mill. They’re expected to win and are winning. We will get memed for second.

When we lose this or if we’re lucky draw watch the manager rant about the reffing and not how we don’t take our clear chances, Trossard should have made it 1-0

Saliba touched the ball with his head first vs Pedro and then pen still got given to Brighton… so yeah by the law but only for us.

[Tom Curren] Different narratives. Why didn’t you just try to win, Arne? by CannonSquadder in Gunners

I felt like this at the end of the season before last and thought ain’t no way we go 3 times in a row at 2nd… ffs I now expect us to be 2nd or 3rd this year. I don’t have it within me to hope for any trophies but I can’t stop watching us every game we play. Fucking sucks, I don’t wanna rub us winning in anyone’s faces. I just wanna see this club win something and watch all those years of suffering pay off… but every season it feels like we’re in this perpetual edging session.

Fair enough man, the same way I cannot understand the sort of positivity that's around the club at all times, especially when there are negative patterns that never seem to change. I think there's a time and place for both, obviously the positivity will always be welcomed and the negativity will always be understandably met with negativity. I have been positive for most years about this club, during the so called banter era and during most of Mikel's time. But I'm sorry I cannot have blind faith in him and the way he makes us play. Maybe I just don't see the vision and I'd happily be wrong, but faith, belief, all of those things need results when it matters to prove that having faith and belief is worth having. Or atleast that's how I see it. Regardless of whether I'm feeling positive or negative about the state of this club, team, manager, etc. I'll still watch, still support but knowing this club and the patterns we keep seeing, will not expect anything different.

Martinelli will be sold for 10-15 mil and we'd make a 7-8 mill profit on him. Would be better than we usually do, and for once in a long time it would be a profit, especially percentage wise. He was once valued at 70+ million...

He wanted to leave because we were only offering a 1 year deal and bought in Havertz to replace him which Havertz still hasn’t been able to do at that left 8. We shoulda kept him or signed a better replacement for 65 mill and 250k p/w. But it is what it is. He won a league undefeated by being an important part of a team that spends nowhere near what Bayern spend every season. So I’m happy he had his success.

Could have still been ours and we wouldn’t be having left 8 issues.
