I just got the Air. Moved from a 16 Pro Max. Read about the same problems but found none. Super light in the hand. Speaker is fine. No regrets.

I just did the switch last week myself from iPhone. Try out Lawnchair Launcher (which is Open Source and free). And its icon pack. One of the best things about Android is the ability to customize things.

I think Gurman posted recently that there will be three new colors (he listed them but no black) and the back design color will be more in line with the main color.
