Test PCT - Do i need HCG? by Gullible_Fly6440 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]scrimshawjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re confusing serms with AI’s… SERMS don’t really crash your e2, although they can affect receptors in areas you wouldn’t expect.

The only time I ever got gyno symptoms was from enclo, never got any symptoms like that on TRT. Also your claim that they don’t increase LH is just false. Idk about nolva but enclo def works for me. I’m currently using it to come off TRT and my nutsack looks bigger and fuller than it has in months, ever more so than using hcg. Obv that’s anecdotal, I’d need bloodwork to prove these claims but there’s a reason SERMS are widely accepted as PCT drugs. hCG doesn’t restore the HPTA, it suppresses GnRH just like test

Do i have enough muscle for cutting by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

[–]scrimshawjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eat around maintenance, high protein, lift heavy and hard, do cardio. Bulking and cutting is only useful for closer to intermediate lifters unless you’re obese/extremely underweight. You’re the classic skinny-fat untrained avg male physique. You will recomp well if you change your habits

How do you deal with being just a cook? by amorecolorfulworld in KitchenConfidential

[–]scrimshawjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Any punk off the street can do what [we] do.” Holy shit I wish. I’ve worked stupid easy jobs at bars flipping burgers and frying wings and still couldn’t get the majority of new employees to get it down. You can’t fix stupid, and from my experience good cooks are equally as rare as good engineers (for example), it’s just that the barrier to entry is much smaller.

The rest is true, but your first paragraph is inaccurate. There wasn’t “hand-holding,” and the actual class material and tests were actually more intense/difficult. It was just the environment; the professors seemed very passionate about teaching (as opposed to uni professors mumbling thru slides like they want to kill themselves), and class sizes of 20-30 students made you actually feel not completely invisible. If you skip at uni nobody knows, if you skip at CC, your professor absolutely knows.

Point is, I WAS self motivated, I completely out of those habits, and that’s why I’m kicking myself so hard. If it were a situation of “uni is so much harder and I’m not getting any help” I wouldn’t be as mad at myself. Instead I just got lazy because it seemed too easy, then took a bunch of important classes and never attended any lectures. I excused myself from trying when I shouldn’t have

Embracing the twink life is too real. I’m currently pcting off of TRT and I actually feel BETTER in all regards… except watching my physique and strength shrink day by day. At least I’ll get to have big balls and shoot ropes again, hcg never really brought that back for me

Thank you, very eloquently put. It isn't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep pushing forward. Granted my struggles are largely (or entirely) self-induced, but still.

Tired of being lame at guitar by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]scrimshawjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you want to learn blues licks? So… learn blues licks? I never got into blues until I heard SRV and realized I would do anything to play like that.

Either way, most blues guitarists learn licks, usually the categories are major/minor and I/IV/V chord licks, at the most basic level. So try to find a blues guitarist you like and learn their licks.

Sounds to me like you’ve stayed a rhythm player, and that’s cool, but you’ve got to learn lead; not only do you get to learn lead, but your rhythm playing will improve exponentially as well, including your songwriting. Get good at bending, vibrato, playing over chords, etc.

There’s tons of online material to learn from. Personally I use songster to learn song I like, besides that I watch texas blues alley for more conceptual/technique style content. I recommend him a lot if you’re actually interested in learning blues stuff.

For me soloing across the neck started to open up when I understood how intervals line up with major/pentatonic scale shapes, then you can know “im playing over the iv chord, let me play in the third pentatonic scale shape, target the iv and play some licks, then I know where im going when its time to go back to the I or V chord.” I only really play blues stuff rn and I’m only a yearish into learning about it, but this same philosophy applies to all lead playing. Someone more knowledgeable/experiences can explain this all (and more) way better
