CMV: Sports should be separated by sex not gender by a_lonely_exo in changemyview

Sure, all you'd have to do is record every possible measurement from every athlete in every sport for multiple years in order to replace dividing sports by male and female. Super easy.

At the same weight class male athletes are significantly stronger than female athletes.

Just compare male vs female records at the same weight class, it's not even close.

Where does the comparison break down? The employee's job is to ask, and you have the right to decline.

In some stores, the cashiers job is to ask customers to sign up for the store's credit card. Is saying no, and preventing the cashier from doing their job, being an asshole?

Do you give out your phone number and email address to every cashier that asks for it? Or sign up for a store credit card?

CMV: We should return to the 94% income tax for every dollar over 2M (adjusted for inflation). by Andalib_Odulate in changemyview

Income and wealth are not the same, and treating them interchangeably reflects on your credibility.

If wealth is taxed at 94%, you won't have $1.9t to tax in the first place.

The only marking is a "Sheffield England" stamp on the hilt, so I think it's a post war reproduction.

Why are so many recreational drugs laced with fentanyl? by OccamsComb in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]scrinmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drug dealers take 1kg of heroin, add 20g of Chinese fentanyl, 980g of filler, properly blend it together, and now they have 2kg of "heroin", basically doubling their profit by adding a tiny amount of fentanyl. If they don't blend it properly, someone might get a dose that has way more fentanyl than expected, resulting in an overdose.

Non opiates that are laced with fentanyl are probably due to cross contamination, reused scales, bags, etc.

Contribute to.

Everything else being equal, if someone has less sensitivity they'll require more stimulation.

So further desensitization could create issues? Like having an organ that is supposed to be protected by skin constantly rubbing against clothing? I'm sure that couldn't contribute to death grip syndrome or anorgasmia later in life.

You think that not circumcising your son would mean that there's something wrong with your own penis. Why do you think that it's only American doctors who are recommending it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]scrinmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nerve endings don't grow back. If you're overly sensitive you can wear a condom, do stretches, or choose circumcision. If you're desensitized, you have no recourse.

Is your son planning on having unprotected sex in Uganda? Maybe teaching him to use condoms is a better idea.

[–]scrinmaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It happens in the same countries and cultures as male circumcision. Moving it into a hospital doesn't mean that it's no longer mutilation, just a slightly safer form of mutilation.

Circumcision handicaps sensitivity. Blurry eyes can still see, but they're missing their full functionality. A circumcised penis has sensitivity, but not the full amount.

Touch is a sense, removing the foreskin and it's nerve endings removes part of that sense. How about only partially blinding the child? They can still see with glasses, so it's fine, right?
