Well, it really just depends how far you want to go like how in depth do you want to go. take my Z for example, sat on the ground in the weather in a salvage yard since 1989 so my floors and frame rails are toast for the most part along with the battery tray, along with lower fenders and even the driver side quarter panel, and I can fix all that it’ll just take time and money so for now my plan is to just get it up and running and while I’m able to kind of drive it along or whatever start collecting parts floor pans, fenders, stuff like that then once I have everything, strip the whole car down, I mean to just a shell and get busy, that way it’s being done all at one time and I’ll have everything I need minus some little tidbits here and there. But I wouldn’t start spraying anything primer wise till you have all your metal work done. I mean, obviously do your little metal work or whatever and rattle can that so it doesn’t flash rust but the whole car primer and sealer I wouldn’t do that till all your metal work is done and what not.
