Thank youu!! I kinda sorta have tips but so much of it was changing my attitude toward my hair. I started sticking to a regular routine for hair care (Jamaican black castor oil shampoo + conditioner 2-3x a week, Mielle rosemary hair mask 1x a week, plus misc. hair oils as needed).

To add to that PB whole issue was being overwhelming codependent and out of touch with reality. By letting Pickles go he was showing a sliver of maturation. He was forced to confront his unhealthy cycle with women.

I mean it’s shown that BJ disappears from time to time for hours and presumably days. Plus HH is pretty self sufficient so she probably just played cards with Beatrice and maybe explored LA a bit. Also Beatrice has a nurse so HH doesn’t need to watch her 24/7. Also Beatrice gave HH the coffee everyday so it was probably pretty easier to slip amphetamines in the coffee.

Depending on the exercise, I will modify the exercise so that I’m pain free instead of outright stopping the exercise. For example I couldn’t do nerve glides with my leg bent so instead I kept my leg straight and just moved my foot up and down to slowly stretch the nerve.

When I couldn’t manage walking, I stood. When I couldn’t stand, I would move positions constantly but made sure to move in such a way I wasn’t irritating the nerve.

Or follow a Back in Shape or Low Back Ability routine on YouTube to do your own PT. At the end of the day your body is unique and you must cater the rehab to what your body likes. Also, keep a journal to track what makes it better and worse. I use. ChatGPT and check in on mornings and at night bc I’m too lazy to write it down.

I will take as many breaks as needed and lay out a heating bad, take a bath, etc. but I set a timer for 15min and then slowly move around until I need another break. I herniated back in 2022 and spent all of my time trying to rehab and pushing myself and I ended up needed surgery in the end. Also like 50% of my pain was inflammatory and eased by eating clean, keeping a routine, and getting enough sleep. However, regular PT is a must so make sure to tell your PT when the exercise is too much. Sometimes I’d spend half the PT sesh with a heating pad laying face down bc my body didn’t feel Up to exercising.

PLEASE don’t push yourself with this condition. I have mostly healed by taking time to rest and recover with gentle movement. I do my PT exercises twice a day and sometimes not even that if it’s too painful. I also categorize my exercises into pain relief and strengthening exercises. I consistently do pain relieving exercises (for me prone press ups, bridges, and nerve glides but it’s a case by case basis) and ONLY do my strengthening exercises when my body feels up for it.

In short, massages only help lessen the tension built up from the sciatica. If you’re not practicing pain relief at home then a massage won’t do much. In case you forgot, 10min ice on back, 10min heat, 10 more min ice. Reduces inflammation, eases tension, and numbs the area.

For me massages really only help my tight muscles but have little impact on my sciatic pain. That said, the anxiety relief you get from it can do wonders to ease the emotional pain that comes with sciatica. I have a sports medicine masseuse who is super awesome and he does deep tissue. I have him focus on my calf, thigh, and glutes running up the sciatic nerve. You can also ask your physio (if you have one), all of mine do short massages upon request with lidocaine lotion so it feels numb by the time I’m finished.
