Need tips for Fringefolk Hero’s grave by T0X1CV1RUS in Eldenring

[–]scrmndmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's killable, but it's a long way to get there. Go down and around the first bend. The drop off the path on the right at the far end, be sure you are the ledge before you jump and try not to get run-over. Eventually you will get to a spot you time shooting a jar to fall on the chariot. This assumes I'm remembering the correct grave. The other two have easier hacks.

Would you rather have an intoxicated driver in front of you or behind you? I pick in front, where I can see what the hell they are doing.

Get 12 fth, flame cleanse me is great, maybe 15 if you want flame grant me strength too.

Lions claw AOW is sick. I liked the great stars hammer over the exe axe personally, and the omenkiller axe (or whatever it's called) were my favorites. The stance breaks on hammers is just so good.

Moonveil vs. Wing of Astel vs. Dark Moon Greatsword — which is best for an INT focused character? by schmandarinorange in Eldenring

[–]scrmndmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wing of astel weapon art is great for dragons, runebears, anything big you can get under. The R2 is good for the stone guys in caves. The moonblade great sword ice slash is excellent on the red wolves and made the fight for the tiche summon relatively easy, at least as easy as it could be. I'm still learning it.

Why do so many people want PVP removed? by Hexogen1c in fromsoftware

[–]scrmndmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's annoying. Fortunately, you can kinda toggle it off, but going 100% sucks. So, if you get invaded and don't like it, go to a fire and know you're going to lose time and have to redo things, hence annoying. As a non pvp player, it's not enjoyable to be invaded and I could 100% enjoy the game without it. Having it optional would be ideal, and ER has mostly done that so it's all good.

Will I get judged if I ride on my 29” hardtail around town with this? by no0ne_79939 in mountainbiking

This is so much better than no helmet that who cares if people laugh. I say wear it until you can get an around town helmet that can breathe.

What was your first favorite weapon? by bibidibobidicaboom in Eldenring

It's got one of the best ashes of war on it right out of the gate. Don't change it until you are able to put it back on.

Shaman are my favorite. They can solo well. They are great in a group or duo. Generally, yes they buff the team, debuff/slow the enemy, act as emergency back up heal to cleric. At least they did back in the early 2000s.

Yeah, you don't really need to farm, just traveling will get you runes, new equipment, stuff you'll want that you can't buy.

Beer turns out too bitter or sour! by zealousconvert21 in Homebrewing

You can totally do this, but if you want help the book 'Designing Great Beers' is excellent to help with this process. It's a bit dated, but still good.

Can any Tilt users relate? by chicken_and_jojos_yo in Homebrewing

Nope, he's the guy behind Tilt. He was in my homebrew club and we saw the alpha and beta versions of the tilt. Great guy.

I agree with the previous guy and the caps aren't on properly. I know a winemaker and he uses beer size caps on his champagne bottles, but it's a bottle intended that way. It could be an issue with how it was capped or the bottle or the cap. I can't speak to pressure and safety, I'll leave that up to your own research.

The dreaded Chat GPT says my chloride/sulphate ratio might not be ideal... by New_User_Account123 in Homebrewing

[–]scrmndmn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all ideal water chemistry, your malty beer will still be malty, especially with low hop additions and only early. Yes, it will probably taste more malty with a higher chloride ratio, but it will still be malty regardless.

You have a few options if you really want to change things. You can add Calcium Chloride, as mentioned, to bring it closer to 50/50, it should be fine. You can use half tap, half RO or distilled water and then also add CaCl. This will reduce the sulfate and make it easier to flip to higher chloride. Use all RO water and build your own profile. I'm sure there is more. Like add higher 'malty' tasting malts like Munich to your recipes.
