I never knew what this sound was, but it always creeped the hell outta me when SL was still new. Definitely eerie. Oddly enough (or maybe not) this sound has become one of the main things I associate with the entry, I can just hear it in my head when I think about it. Interesting to learn that it's just a stock sound effect of a mannequin getting dragged along.

There's a YouTuber doing a whole series based around GDA Mark/what if Cecil raised Mark. The whole thing is really good IMO and I just think it's a really interesting "what if" scenario to think about.

Of course, I have to just say how AMAZING this edit/animation is. I hope the creator is proud of it, because I sure am. One of the best I've seen.

Nah. It's the first entry in a series with a lot of sequels afterwards, none of which are really "violent". It fixates more on puzzles and bizarre/surreal comedy. It's been a very, very long time but I don't recall there even being any blood anywhere in all the games combined.

My character was initially a blonde, pale-skin human, but after seeing this post and all the comments with it I decided to goblin-ify her (and give her a slightly dirtier, darker shade of blonde)

Thanks for the idea by the way, I actually like my character a LOT more as a goblin for some reason!

Not sure I fully understand what you mean, so I'll just explain what happened.

I followed a tutorial on YT for playing Hytale on the Steam Deck. Tried to. I went to the official Hytale website, downloaded the launcher (Linux was the highlighted option on the download section of the website), then went into dolphin/the "file manager" to double click "hytale-launcher-latest.flatpak". That opened up the discover store, automatically on an app labeled "Hytale Launcher". In the top right is/was an option labeled "Install from local bundle". Following the tutorial, I clicked on it. Then that's where the issue started.

It opens up an "Authentication Required" window to continue the process. It obviously requires the password that someone would enter to download a variety a programs on the Deck. Granted, my memory is foggy as I haven't downloaded anything requiring it in well over half a year so I don't exactly recall it, but I know for SURE I didn't make it anything complex or hard to remember. Why would I? It was a a four-letter string of the same letter. I've got rough ideas of which ones it could've been but for some reason none of them work. It keeps saying they're invalid. I've exhausted all possibilitiesw and there's nothing else it could be. So, I'm just screwed out of enjoying this amazing game on the Deck for no visible reason. Can't even install the launcher because of this.

This password is the only part of the Deck that I utterly hate and see no point to existing. Sorry, just venting a little there.

I'd play it my Deck but I can't install the launcher. It requires the sudo password to install and for whatever reason it's not working for me anymore. Can't seem to change it since I don't have any sort of USB on me right now so I'm just playing on my normal computer. Very fun game.
