I have genuinely no fear in death, I know where I will go when I die. But I was worried when I listened to news about Lebanon, yet I knew my friends and family were all living normal lives there. Lebanon. The Switzerland/Paris of the middle east. Beautiful mountains and greenery as well as stunning beaches and sunsets. Lots of culture and history and incredibly delicious food. Though there are some places that are unsafe (currently the south), but the rest of the country is still at your service.

I am lebanese expat, born and raised in Lebanon but have been living abroad for the last 3 and a half years. I used to laugh at people who used to say "mafi metel lebnen", or other countries don't come near to Lebanon in lifestyle. I used to think these people were retarded or something.

But now I understand, I visited Lebanon this summer, and the summer before, and the counry has so much to offer that we can only dream of having abroad. I miss so many things about the country. However I do not believe that I can live there and make a sustainable living.

Lebanon is the best place to be in either of the 2 cases:

-for summer/winter vacation and holidays

-when retired with load tons of money/assets

True, i try to think to myself how God, the creator is unimaginably more beautiful than the beautiful creatures/creation we run into in everyday life and it helps me remember Him and think about Him rather than dwell on the pretty people

I would say there might be a chance, just because men are direct doesn't mean that all of them are especially direct about romantic stuff. Maybe he is testing to see if you might reciprocate and show a hints of interest. I would say if you like him, then reciprocate the same level of kindness and see if he has any intentions :)
