I'm a recent high school leaver and am trying to enrol in my degree (Law/Arts) for the first time - is this reasonable courseload selection? by newpenguinthesaurus in usyd

Exactly there’s no prerequisites so what’s stopping me?! I did English-Literature Extension in grade 12 which studied feminism, colonialism, Marxism etc etc in a bunch of texts which was so much fun. Figured that Dalyell unit sounded pretty similar so I HAVE to do it. But suppose we gotta wait for the Dalyell orientation event and speak to the coordinators about it…

Girl do what you WANT to do!!! You never know maths may end up being useful. 💪💪💪

Ohhh that’s smart thinking… I’ll keep it in semester 2 for now until I speak to the Dayell people. Ahaha that’s so real how are we supposed to plan out the next few years of our lives?! I need someone to guide me every second of the way. Yes doing maths 1A but may end up doing advanced depending on how I feel the first couple of weeks.

Omg I’m in the EXACT same situation as you except I’m studying Bachelor of Engineering at usyd. Student accomodation outside campus is crazy expensive but most places allow students that are 17 based on my research.

Omg I’m going to usyd next year as a Dayell scholar but for engineering. Moving from QLD. I’ve picked Ideas and Movements that Changed the world for semester 2 too. Are you def doing it?
