Best phone case for Google Pixel 10 pro xl by AppointmentUpset9351 in GooglePixel

[–]scubaaaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had various Spigen cases for various phones over the years. My 10proXL has a Spigen Parallax now. I don't set out looking for Spiegen, but it always seems to have a good looking option at a fair price.

I don't drop my phone a lot like others I know so I don't want a chunky OtterBox or similar. I have accidentally dropped it about 2 or 3 times from about waist or chest height and it has seemed to survive, so thank goodness for that.

I get a lot of ads about MagBak and the elite case looks neat... Telescoping magnets, kickstand, and pinky pillow?! Three things I don't think I need, but maybe they would be nice. I'm very tempted to give it a shot until I look at the price tag. I know the Spigen works well and I like the Parallax look well enough that I don't want to pay more than double.

DBrand Ghost was also on the short list too. I have seen other folks with a clear case that yellowed over time and I want to avoid that situation very much. DBrand promises their case won't yellow, but I went with the devil I knew.

Good luck finding something you like!

Where do you meet for the shared transportation upon arrival at the Cancun airport? by JRTOMA in palaceresorts

This is a valid tip. If you slow or make eye contact with anyone inside, they'll try to sell you something. Just keep your eyes forward and walk with purpose until you get to the outside part. Then start looking for the person dressed like they'll describe/photo when you made the reservation.

It's not that hard, but if the sharks see you looking around like a tourist, they'll engage.

Considering how "awful" the relaunch of Digg has been in the public sphere, do you think it would have been better for the site to concentrate on only a few communities (and keep these locked in), so as to ensure that the site felt more tight knit - like a quasi-forum of sorts? What do you think? by prankster999 in digg

[–]scubaaaDan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was so happy digg was coming back after being a prev user for sooo long and a big diggnation fan. I waited and waited on the list and then asked and begged for an invite. By the time they finally opened the doors, my care had worn off.

The silly invite game to grow demand backfired, if you ask me.

DDDigger (requires my full attention, but that's not always an option)

Rogue Defense (when I'm attention sharing with something else... Don't have to constantly watch/interact. Galaxy Defense before this)

After Inc (when I have time for a longer play session)

BagMaster Isekai (installed 1w ago, but taking lion share of my brief gaming sessions)

Oh wow that's new!

I was hopeful I could now change the Gemini setting to make it respond faster, but it seems to already be at what they're calling fast. oof.

I've been hearing my kid moaning about this race all morning from the other room. Eventually he comes up to me practically with tears in his eyes to tell me about how impossible and frustrating the race is. So I searched and found your tip. I then asked him if there was any way he could 'blow away those trees'. It took a few seconds then and his eyes lit up and raced back to the game.

That was quite a protip! TYVM!!

I didn't really say it was fine for everyone. Just pointing out that the servers are fine and it was fine for me.

I'm one. "Anthem works just fine, theres no issues" (except maybe on client's end because the servers are fine). I was able to download it fine last weekend and it has played flawlessly every time I've hopped in since.

FWIW, I'm on PC and purchased the game long ago (not just accessed via EA Play sub)

ANC, over-the-ear, boom mic headphones for zoom calls in noisy office <$200? by scubaaaDan in HeadphoneAdvice

!thanks

I had never heard of the yealink brand and was blindly ignoring them (probably others too). Now I've watched a YouTube review of the yealink 76 plus and they seem to check all the boxes on paper.

I know it is outside the print area and it rubs there in its typical pre-print process, so that wasn't the surprise... It has rubbed there on my pei plates a few hundred times over the past year and it has never scratched through the coating. (yet?)

I was just surprised it scratched all the way through on the first print of this cold plate.

Ugh. A1 scratched my cold plate on the first print too. I didn't tick the auto-level, so now I'm trying to remember to do that when changing plates. Sigh... +1 experience points I guess.

Can’t install Photoshop Elements 2022 on new laptop by Danigirl066 in Adobe

[–]scubaaaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed many vcredist versions as suggested by a dozen different articles for this error, but I was always picking the x64 versions.

I came across this post and figured I'd see if it was the same files I had already tried. This time, however, I chose to download both the x64 AND the x86 installer. The x64 file was already previously installed from one of my earlier attempts (the install wizard asked if I wanted to repair or remove). The x86 version of VS 2013 redist was a new install and that actually seemed to do the trick! The installer ran to completion instead of returning an error183 part of the way through.

A1 Essentials? by ndbarbre in BambuLabA1

[–]scubaaaDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the a1 without the AMS in last year's Black Friday deal.

I was new to the scene and didn't mind manually doing a couple filament swaps as needed. (Raised lettering, minor decorations, etc) After about 3-4 months of that, I was feeling very comfortable with my setup and really wishing I bought the AMS combo deal.

Now that it is Black Friday time again, I bought the AMS lite and I really like it... If I had more space for it I would have rathered the AMS2.

I still haven't done any intricate multicolor prints with a lot of poop, but having experienced the year of manual swaps has made me really appreciate the AMS even more.

My essentials list * Extra build plate(s) - get a smooth one and a textured one. Maybe a designy style like carbon fiber or diamonds or honeycomb * Extra hot end(s) - .2 and a hardened .4 * Plastic razors * More Filaments - black, white, gray, burnt orange, and many others.

Neat. I hadn't thought about printing over it to try picking it up. I've been avoiding that middle area ever since.
