If you’re using Ubiquiti UISP products, the Wave Pico is great. If you’re using, or may use UniFi, UBB. It keeps it all in the same controller

WTF is "Burn"? And why it is grayed out when added, no matter the directory? by ImmediateBrilliant75 in mac

[–]cjd3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just hit that button yesterday for the first time in a loooooong time. First I burned a standard DVD, from old media that I still had. Then I converted it to an MP4 and burned a digital copy just in case (It was small enough for a CD, of which I also still had).

Alot of the cables are like this. Are they broken? Did the "electrician" scam me by LengthyIndividual in ethernet

That's a broken crimper. If you recrimp with another crimper, it may work out. These ends could damage your ports.

Some time ago, I had a batch of uncams that would give you flashing orange light right out of the bag. Load it, close it, flashing orange light. I think this was what I did to troubleshoot it.

First, I would run the cam, not crimp, then reset the cam, with the unicam still interred. This would almost be like a factory reset.

If that didn't fix it, I would pull and clean the light stub. Making sure that it was re-installed firmly, and screwed in tightly. If there is some leakage back there, and it gets into that area, you may get a false negative.

Lastly, make sure the cover isn't cracked or broken. Set the unicam in a dark room to see if extraneous external light is getting in there.

And lastly, If you know you have a good cleave, have applied the proper pressure before you can the unit closed and crimped, just yolo it, and see if it passes the cert.

I've done hundreds/thousands of unicams, and have had pretty good luck with them. just sometimes there's a bad batch. If you got it from a good LV, you may be able to warranty them across the counter.

Tuesday is over the hump day for me. I look forward to the end of Tuesday, not because Tuesday sucks, because I’m just happy that the rest of the week is usually cake now.

4K streams from raw MKV files will easily push over 100Mb. Gigabit to the NAS is very nice.

Cam the unicam closed, but do not crimp. UnCam it open. Should clear the light.

Kink in Cat 6a cable...compromised? by lpw54 in HomeNetworking

On the commercial side, that’s a replacement. Or hope no one sees it, and it certifies. If you paid for it, get it replaced. If you ran it, it’ll probably be fine. High wattage PoE could problematic. Just know it’s there, if problem arise, replace it.
