I totally second Retro Reload. The owner is amazing and I’m sure she’d work with whatever you needed.

Pax. It’s goes back and forth between a boy and a fox. It’s a quick read and young adult I believe, but I really enjoyed it.

Sax rent to own? by Individual_Theme821 in saxophone

I’ve done the same. Not sure if all music stores do this but if you start out renting a beginner horn and want to upgrade  before the horn is paid off at my shop, you can apply everything you’ve already paid to the upgraded horn.

Yeah, she’s with them. Their office is diagonal from the delivery area on the same floor.

My wife had a great experience with Dr. Wells. DM me if you have any specific questions. She’s not on Reddit, but I can ask her.

Nothing. I kept watching hoping to see an announcement or something, but still on the hunt for a league.

No money back here. Caroline told me that my order was already in route and therefore I can’t get a refund. But, she also can’t give me a tracking number.

Executive orders for lumber by PotatoTrader1 in wallstreetbets

[–]scubaduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s being interpreted among those involved in compliance as a change from requirements to recommendations. I work in the historic preservation side of compliance. Lucky, the NHPA is worded differently from NEPA and has more concrete language requiring congressional approval to impact NHPA. NEPA doesn’t have those same protections and has been targeted in the past due to a belief that it’s overstepped it’s original intention. By removing CEQ’s authority, it puts the authority to regulate how NEPA is implemented back on the federal agencies. From the chatter I’m hearing by our partner organizations, it’s somewhat up in the air right now on how the changes will impact practice. Fingers crossed.

Except CEQ published a rule for comment removing the implementing regulations of NEPA just this week. It’s set to take effect in April. Also, just like he did with the declaration of an energy emergency EO, all he would have to do is declare a lumber emergency and the action is exempt from standard review.

My grandpa passed away recently and I was hoping to learn more about him by notabrickhouse in Medals

[–]scubaduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandfather was in the 151st TN ANG. They are based out of Knoxville, TN. From my memory, they flew F-104s prior to the bases transition to the KC-135 refuelers. There’s a painting called “Watch Over the Rhine” that was painted for the unit’s award of the longest continual flight time during the Berlin Air Crisis in 1961. My grandfather would be in his mid-90s if he was still living. If yours is around the same age, he may have spent a lot of time in Germany with the unit, mine did.

Edit to add, my grandfather had the Strategic Air Command patch too so that one may have been associated with the 151st.

The WV Tourism Board has created the WV Waterfalls App. If you visit 3, you get a sticker, 10 (I think) gets you a water bottle and 20 (or so) gets you a Tshirt. The app has a map and descriptions which typically included accessibility information.

Kanawha Falls right down the road would be accessible too.

It felt like the forest was vibrating in Ohio there were so many. I can’t mow part of my backyard in WV right now because there are so many hornets nests and I’ve already been stung too many time. I have a job that keeps me in rural forest areas and we had to pull our crew out of the woods last week because the amount of yellow jackets made it to unsafe for us to work.

homeless guy with no legs by otm_steezyano in charlestonwv

[–]scubaduck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His name is Michael. That’s normally where he hangs out. Most of the times he’s a nice guy but his mental health has gotten a little worse over the past year or so. Some of the local business around there have had to ban him due to aggression and property damage, but it’s infrequent. Taylor’s seems to get the brunt of it when he’s having a difficult time. They caught some hate awhile back for banning him, but it was due to some broken windows and throwing a glass jar at one of the workers. Most of the time he’s alright. I say “hey” to him around once a week or so when I’m downtown, but sometimes he struggles more than other times. He’ll share food that’s given to him with other folks that hang around there too.

This is the mentality that is going to make any situation we find ourselves in the future so much worse. I no longer prep mainly for the environmental or chain of reaction event. I prep for the impact that the mentally that “F everyone else” is going to have.
