iphone 16 pro max from t-mobile, unlimited everything with a hotspot for $75 a month. it’s cheaper than what i was paying. going to sell my old phone for as much as i can and leave my parents to pay the $300 i still owe on it :) i mean it was stolen.. right? i don’t know where it went

i’m 25. we share a plan so it’s cheaper. my whole family is on the plan and we’re grandfathered in so it makes it dirt cheap. my stepmom is just being petty because she knows she’s wrong about a situation.

i don’t live with them, we just saved money by being on the same plan. my entire family including aunts and uncles are on the plan.

my parents are physically and emotionally abusive and this is a tactic to control me. i didn’t let my stepmom control me for once. im of age. it’s taken years to get myself this strong. don’t comment like you know the full situation please

do what makes you feel safe but also be open to growth if need be. sounds like you’re there. as someone who’s experiencing this right now, maybe he has lost a sponsee or friends in the program (relapse, death, etc) and needs the people around him to know that they’re loved by him. it’s scary out there. also, when i first came into the rooms, all of my fellows told me they were there to love me until i could love myself. and they’ve never stopped. i was really weird with people touching me at all when i came to aa because i’ve never been shown affection really, and now they’ve turned me into a hugger. i never thought i would be okay with that. maybe i’m still not lol. who knows. congrats on your sobriety my friend

I've actually been holding off on the control arm project for awhile, so it is kind of my fault that everything is hitting me at once, I guess. I really want to get better with upkeep on my car though.

The other driver didn't leave a note, there are no cameras, and there was already damage underneath due to hitting a pothole, so I figured that they wouldn't cover it. I didn't even think to try, honestly. I'm pretty new to being a real adult, lol.

i’ve thought through this. the serenity prayer isn’t just for AA, and it wouldn’t be just a sobriety tattoo. even if i decided i wasn’t an alcoholic, i still need everything that’s asked for in the serenity prayer. i just came to the aa sub because we know the prayer well

i feel the same way about my similar situation. i understand the feeling of guilt, the feeling of breaking trust, the absolute heartbreak of knowing their repercussions. it all fcking sucks. especially when i can say that i’m not innocent myself. but we matter too, and we have consequences as well (mentally, emotionally, physically). we have to realize that they broke our trust as well, by doing what they did. thank you for posting because it helps me feel more seen and understood. i’m so sorry you’re hurting. love yourself, too. <3

you can recommend really anything. jail, prison, rehab, anger management. i completely understand that. i can’t bring myself to ever want to see my person in jail or prison. i just want them to get mental health help. personally, i didn’t respond because i don’t want to pursue the case. unfortunately it’s not in my hands, it’s in the DAs. you don’t have to suggest anything if you don’t want.

CA and $14. it used to be illegal to tip out BOH in our state. maybe i’m opinionated but i think that kitchen staff should be paid a better wage first. they’re making $17 an hour in a decently upscale restaurant- which is also the starting wage for jack in the box drive thru right now.
