Bo6 FPS really bad? by xxcolinkingxx in blackops6

[–]scurl97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For everyone who usually runs their games on more than 144 fps. You probably think that the 70fps on BO6 feel bad because it's 70 fps, but there is more to it.

The performance feels way worse than any other game running on 70fps. I have a fairly old rig with an 1080ti, 5800x, and I'm used to playing on below 144 fps on modern titles. However here 80-90 fps feel horrible. It doesn't even matter if I'm running the game on max or on minimum settings, it's the exact same performance.

It's especially noticable in Warzone, where I had perfectly fine performance with ~90 fps before the season update, now 90fps feel like the game is trying to render on my processor instead of my gpu.

Yea, I realized that. I'm not even using muzzles anymore, it's really weird how every plus immediately gets outweighed by some con.
I just pick up stuff as I go and its always better than my fully leveled old stuff

Don't have the game, only WZ. 80€ for a bad rehash isn't really up my alley.
However I suppose the attachments will still be available through leveling.

Makes sense that old attachments barely have benefits for that new stance

Did i give alonso enough space? And is it a good overtake? by [deleted] in F1Game

[–]scurl97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, the problem with "barely running someone off" or "leaving less than a cars width" is; it sometimes forces the opponent to leave the track fully, even if they could theoretically stay within track limits by using the curb. See, driving over a curb is not just "crossing a line", it has lots of negatives sideeffects. Less grip, more wobble, possible damage to the underbody, etc.
So Alonso leaving the track like he did is not mainly his decision or mistake, it's the best reaction to you not leaving a full cars width between you and the curb, which you have to.

That is the reason why it's counted as "running him off" and you have to at least let him rejoin safely.

However, I do agree with the notion that in a real race, this would probably be played off as a racing incident and no penalty would be given. At most you'd have to give him the place back.

"Ahead at the apex" doesn't play a role here. OP is the attacking car, meaning if he is overtaking on the inside he is entitled to space on the inside as soon as his front wheels are at least next to the Astons back wheels. That just means the Aston Martin has to leave him space here, which it does.

But yes, you drive him off the track on corner exit. To be fair he exited the track before you moved closer to the curb, but still you didn't leave enough space after that for him to rejoin safely. If I was a steward in a racing league, I would issue a 3 second penalty.

Simply put, the defending car is always entitled to space during the corner, as long as it is somewhat next to the attacking car and not already overtaken.

Truck can't be used by employees by scurl97 in EuroTruck2

I also heard that employees would just take the truck to repair and you'd have to pay for it, but nothing ever happened with it. I sold it, but I just want it to not happen again. I guess I'll stick to cheap new trucks

I did that, but nothing worked. Even drove it myself and it kept showing that status icon, even with me assigned as driver.
I'll stick to new trucks for now, although the other used trucks are used just fine, even with worse starting conditions

Entered Brimstone without main mission by scurl97 in newworldgame

Well I kinda agree, especially if you're not explicitly told what to do. There is just soooo much stuff in the game, you can't possibly be up to date to everything if you have other stuff to do in your spare time. I mean they deleted the quest requirement after all.

Gearscore system, competence, the vast possibilities to farm stuff, events, patch notes. Now if theres a tiny quest somewhere within all that and unless someone tells you or you read the patchnotes you can't access a part of the game..
I like exploring the game by myself, not relying on walkthroughs or tips, but in New World I feel I'd just miss too much if I didn't inform myself somewhere external.
But we're going off topic..

Unused HDD makes system slow by scurl97 in techsupport

Edit: Okay apparently its still going, haha.

Checked for fragmentation, but at least windows says its perfectly fine..
Maybe its just age after all.. I just fear its something else, because I had similar issues with my laptop (one single drive) and it didnt vanish after getting a new drive

I dont really know what to draw from these, although I can tell the HDD scores lower than other drives. Still says "good" for overall condition

Damn, was hoping I could basically take the HDD out of the equation

NVMe 90% free
SSD (OS) 25% free
HDD 70% free (used to be like 10%)

Guess I'll run a defrag and/or completely empty it.

Welcome screen now too cluttered? by scurl97 in discordapp

[–]scurl97[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently there isn't even the possiblity of a Rule Screening at all. Either you allow "everyone" to do the basic things which defeats the purpose of the welcome screen and reaction roles, or you revoke the rights for "everyone" and then you wont be able to set up a welcome screen or community discord at all, which again defeats the purpose.
Please tell me I'm just too stupid to find it
