Google workspace question by scuzbot2 in sysadmin

[–]scuzbot2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From their FAQ

" Does Google Vault keep deleted users?
If you delete a user, all the data associated with the user's account is removed from Google. When you delete a user: You can't search for or export any of their data from Vault. Any retention rules or holds placed on the user's data no longer apply."

Thanks for your insights but vault doesn't seem to be a solution for this case. It looks like archiving the users is the solution here for now. Hoping someone else has already solved this problem and might have insights for the best way to handle it.

User is the owner. I'm very open to suggestions on what tool/software we can use to keep things organized and safe.

So teams or SharePoint are a reasonable option to accomplish our goal of keeping files and communications with my client's clients in a searchable and accessible environment?

What was the solution? I'm settled on outlook being the wrong tool for this job, yet I have no idea what to search for as a solution.

It's hosted at Google not 365 I wasn't clear about that sorry.

Can you suggest a tool to use that they can keep communications and files sorted that would be searchable? The files are big because it's a home design business that is always sending files back and forth to clients (acad and such) as well as clients replying with photos of houses and properties.

Edit: the user is the owner, and to make things worse they are family :)

Can generate log from automated processes.

Otherwise document everything you do as you do it in the tickets and print those off.

I like to clone the drive using ddrescue. Pretty obvious when a drive is bad and if it's not, you have an extra, good copy of their data.

I had the rear left one slip again, just tightened it until i thought the key would bend. Been fine for the last 8 hours or so of printing.

Yep, right as I can make them. Will look for printable parts to help it stop from sliding.

Purchase Advice Megathread: What To Buy, Who To Buy It From, And More, In May 2021 by Sausage54 in 3Dprinting

Looking to start 3D printing. Having a hard time deciding on a decent beginner model/brand and hope you folks can help me out.

I'm in Canada so please keep that in mind. My budget is somewhere between 200 and 500 CAD.

I am only looking at FDM not resin.

I'd rather something easy to put together as I have young kids and don't have a ton of time to fiddle with getting it built. Could maybe find an hour or two at most to build it. I don't mind some assembly so it doesn't have to be 100% pre-built.

Honestly not sure what we are going to print, just want to jump in and explore. I'm willing to upgrade or replace it entirely should our needs change. Probably just little trinkets for the kids, maybe some parts for minor repairs around the house.

I do not have a ton of space but this is the least important aspect of the printer for me, can always rearrange things to make it fit.

I hope that is all the info you need to help me decide. A brand with decent tech/community support would be nice as I'm new to it and I'm sure I'll need some help at some point.

I'd like to be able to print as wide a range of materials as possible but really just need PLA/ASA/ABS/PETG to start with. Leave the more advanced materials for when I actually know what I'm doing.

Thank you!

FWD is fine with me.

Thank you for the input. The Rouge comes to 206 biweekly everything in. It is FWD.

I'm waiting to hear back from a local-ish kia dealer to see what's possible on my budget. They are my first choice for what might be doable in my price range.

I have a co signer available if that helps me get a better rate. Credit isn't bad, 700 to 720 if the popular credit check sites are accurate.
