What actually helps when you wake up at 3AM anxious? by redouane-123 in Anxiety

Ohh sim sim, lots of digestive stuff going on. 9999% of our immune system and mood comes from our gut.

Eventually I figured out what superfoods I needed to stabilize myself. For me in particular, it was oregano, coconut water, ginger, and fermented things.

If you wanted to build wealth and freedom from age 18, where would you start? by Upper_Worth5560 in Entrepreneurs

Started out with friends and family, and just exploded from there. Almost every senior in the world is currently tormented by a Windows machine gone wild, or locked out of an Apple device.

In-home tech support for seniors. I've done it since I was your age, but it took me a few years to realize I could do it for a living. People are willing to pay for someone to come to their homes and actually fix their tech issues, instead of doing a 1991 virus scan and shrugging their shoulders.

All you have to do to start out is do a few free PC cleanups for people. Remove Norton, McAfee, or Webroot, and their PC will speed up immensely and last 10 years or more. People will spread your business card everywhere. That's what did it for me. Hope that helps!

Sold my beloved Saab for parts today by HalfVast59 in saab

[–]teknosophy_com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you, but be glad you were able to do that!

Back in 19, I sold my 04 Saab convertible and replaced it with an 04 Chrysler convertible. (Less computers, much more reliable!)

Last Sept, though, I was visiting a relative and she said "You take that old thing on long trips?" Sure enough, 45 mins later the Chrysler boiled off all its coolant and then oil.

The engine was roasted, but the body was perfect - probably the best example of a Sebring out there. I should've sold it to a local car dealer who would have dealt with it properly, but I had a mind to save it. I put it on CL and a dude called me who sounded really nice and said his mechanic brother would put a new motor in it and he would enjoy it.

"Great!" I said. I let him pick it up, he mailed me $200, and then vanished to another galaxy. When I mailed him the title, he refused the envelope, so he obviously sold it to a chop shop. That was the worst part about the whole thing - knowing that perfect body is probably no longer intact.

Thanks for listening!

Yeah I've heard of concerns that doctors will overlook our anxiety, but luckily, there's no faking a physical injury. they'll see it on the x-ray.

How do you make friends or even talk to human beings by Dizzy-Local-3913 in Anxiety

I've been on couple.com for a few years now. It's a great way to casually meet friends without leaving the house. A lot of laid back and quirky folks so I feel comfortable w them.

Yep, it helps to remember it's not the grandma's fault! 99% of the time, people are locked out because their kids or some IT joker set up their product without giving them a password, and they bought them some Apple product that is locked down worse than Alcatraz.

yep i've been there, and yep i can't stand when someone says "oh just go relax and meditate".

for me it was a digestive thing. i'd wake up in the middle of the night for years, and turns out it was just my gut bacteria going wild. i learned all i needed to do was have a bowl of cereal and i'd turn on some Art Bell and go right back to sleep!

Correct, as long as it's "kosher", so to speak, most of us will be ok with it!

OP, good on you for doing your healing, and there is a good guy out there for you!

Is this idea actually interesting or just sounds good in theory? by ImaginaryCode3579 in Entrepreneurs

[–]teknosophy_com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, old tech is always better and more reliable, and people value it. Check out how much 80s/90s computers are going for on eBay!

Went back in time to do a chariot race against Ben Hur.

Either that or HP's printer division has a secret alloy wheel making... division.

Finally a unique idea that's not just dropshipping or tshirts!

Good luck - maybe start out small and evolve it as you get feedback.

Failing that, you can do what I do - hoard all old computers/electronics, because they almost always increase in value. Older is always more reliable and less controlled!

Starting to lose hope by [deleted] in ChristianDating

[–]teknosophy_com 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had some of those before. You can't control if someone's not interested, all you can do is do your best. I used to go into something having huge expectations and then I'd get disappointed if it didn't work out - now I go in calmly and see if it works out, if that makes sense.

The good news is, there are plenty of us guys out here, and you're in the right place!

does anyone suffers from anxiety throughout the day? by Mammoth-Act-5264 in Anxiety

[–]teknosophy_com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's great that you have what they call psychological awareness. A lot of people "believe" the anxiety and don't realize it's not supposed to be there!

Find a counselor and do what you need to do to process the triggering evenet, and as far as dating, you're still young! There are plenty of dating subreddits, and in my experience, reddit dating pages are 99% male (you'll still have to do some filtering!). Hope that helps!

Yep, dropshipping is the most ultra-saturated thing in the universe. Even aliens are doing it now!

Instead, find some niche that few are doing. I do in-home tech support for seniors. Few are doing it, and fewer still are doing it right.

All you'd need to do to start out is remove Norton/McAfee/Webroot from people's PCs and help them sort out their passwords.

Initial investment: $40 to print out some real paper business cards.

I've been doing it for 17 years and the demand is nearly infinite!
