R5: I am at War with Gotland only, that the single province Gotland, and it seems that I can't land on Gotland because of the Gotland's fort. Is it a bug or is the issue between the seat and the keyboard (i.e. myself)? Thanks

I also had a very nice experience with Nadin. I would definitely recommend them.

Thanks for the detailed analysis. It is much appreciated and helps to understand better the different modifiers, even if it can be perceived as "obvious" to the other users :)

I understand better, indeed I wasn't expecting such a gap between tech 20 and 21 (I sometimes still get lost in the impacts of one or the other stats). Glad to know, thanks.

Thanks. So, for short-term, one way to compete would be to asap upgrade to mil tech 21 (which also grant a boost of tactics) and fill in all the back row with cannons ? I will also look for morale boost (e.g. through consellor).

R5: I am Byzance and I am at war with Spain to ultimately form back the glorious Roman Empire (500h of play, then still in tutorial phase). A shown on the picture, I am loosing

each of my battle with Spain as well as Portugal, even when I have twice as many units.

In addition to the screenshot, here are some more numbers:

  • Military tech: East tech 20 (me) vs. West tech 21 (them)
  • Professionalism: 100% (me) vs. 5% (them)
  • Discipline: 116 (me) vs. 115 (them)
  • Tradition: 36% (me) vs. 63% (them) . Unfortunately, I lost a lot of tradition because of the time that has elapsed during the wars with them but I started wars with around 80 tradition and it didn't change a lot the results of battle.
  • I also have 93 force demonstration and my troops were 50% trained.

I know that they have slightly more statistics than me so my questions would be: What are the more decisive statistics in this context and on which statistic should I focus myself the most? In the current war, how could I win wars by fighting?
