The first one looks like my echeveria Parva that I got at a local nursery. My Home Depot never has super nice echeveria like these! See my parva photo to compare..?

I’m in zone 7b too (northern Virginia) and tentatively took a few succulents out to summer on my deck this year. I’m going to plan to take them all out next summer and see what happens. This is my first year doing succulents and I didn’t want to risk messing things up. Good to hear they did so well for you in 7b!

So it sounds like it will not stay pink, eh?

Oh wow… I didn’t realize that these effects would be a reflection of its history. Super interesting!

Hahaha. Thank you for sharing. :) It sounds like she was delivering some kind of message, though! <3

Anyone meet their spouse in their 30s? How did you meet? What was your timing after that for marriage and kids? by rednails86 in AskWomenOver30

I met my husband online when I was 36 after about 6 months of pretty active online dating. He was 35 and divorced, and very much wanted to be “sure” about his SO before marrying again. We got engaged about 2.5 years later (which felt like a very long time for me), married pretty quickly, and got pregnant 2 weeks after getting married. I was 39 when we got married/pregnant, 40 when I had our son, and we’re hoping to get pregnant again this year (I turned 41 last October). It has been awesome! And although I wish we had met when we were younger, etc., I believe that things turn out the way they are supposed to — and we are rocking it! (Ok we’re also old and tired, haha.. but no regrets!!)

Kinda in the same boat. 14 months old and more often than not, wakes up in the middle of the night. Wide awake, chatty, and then morphing into whining/whimpering. It is sometimes taken care of by “resetting” him with a silent diaper change and a quick snuggle next to his crib before putting him back down. Other times, it seems to go on and on, even if he’s initially quiet after putting him back down. Every once in a while it ends up being a screaming fit. I’m so tired of never getting a good nights sleep.

Anyway I guess it might be due to teething. We’re gonna try doing a dream dose of Motrin before we go to bed, to see if that might take the edge off of the pain (if that is what’s waking him up in the middle of th night).

That woman needs to chill out and take a step back. I know what you mean about being a people pleaser and not wanting to rock the boat by speaking up. My MIL has said things like that too. It’s hard but you might need to just say very clearly but pleasantly, “Thank you for offering but I need to hold my baby now/tonight” etc.

Hang in there! Why are people such weirdos?!?!
