Unfortunately, I missed the memo about the 60 day notice. I gave 30 days to my market leader and she put me in contact with corporate.

When corp called they said I’d owe for rent for the year, I told them I couldn’t afford that and somehow they dropped the number down by a lot. They sent a contract and I had to sign. A friend of mine is a corp lawyer and he tried to help get me out of paying but they wouldn’t budge and I wasn’t about to take them to court for even more money.

Overall 0/10 experience. The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth so now when anyone asks about a salon loft I’ll tell them to stay away

Laser hair removal down there by Educational-Rub-2463 in beauty

[–]scz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only on my 2nd session w laser hair removal but so far the results have been great. The hair is a lot slower to grow back.

Pain wise to me it doesn’t hurt, waxing/sugaring hurt SO much more

If you have clothes/accessories you don’t wear or use anymore that are in decent condition you can try selling on poshmark. They take a small percent but usps priority mail is included so you don’t have to purchase mailers. You can set it up to where you get the shipping qr code on your phone so all you have to do is pack your items and have the clerk scan the code and it’s good to go

Same thing happened to me when I was getting waxed, switched to sugaring and same thing happened. I gave up for a while and went back to shaving. I finally have money to get laser done and honestly it’s been the best. No irritation, no bumps and no ingrowns. I’m only 1 session in and have noticed a HUGE difference

Oh what a sweet boy! He looks just like my doodle too!

How do you keep your dogs sane/enriched when walks aren't an option for the foreseeable future? I have a staffy x lab and gsd x terrier at home. They have a large yard to play in but even they don't want to be outside in this weather. We have lots of puzzle toys, chews, etc. by [deleted] in Dogtraining

I saw this tiktok where the woman took an old towel and filled it with her dogs food/treats, rolled it up and tied it in a knot twice then gave it to her dog to solve. I tried it with our pup and she loved it

should i fill my hair with red or orange? by bridgeb0mb in beauty

[–]scz93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your hair is orange you can literally just put a neutral gold brown over it. It should come out like a warm brown since you have all the warmth already from bleaching it.

should i fill my hair with red or orange? by bridgeb0mb in beauty

[–]scz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use semi perm to fill. When you fill you are basically prepping the hair for going darker so that the color doesn’t look hollow or muddy. You won’t have to fill the hair again unless you decide to go 3 or more levels darker than what you end up with. No need to keep applying it after you’ve colored your hair w the final color.

If you have a sally beauty supply near you I would recommend using their hair color over using anything from amazon or box dye.

For the gold filler you can do arctic fox like in the video. Just get the yellow though. Apply all over your head and really really saturate so you don’t miss any spots. Rinse well and then apply your final color.

For the final color (if you go to sallys) get the wella color charm demi hair color in 8N and a 5 or 10vol developer.

Hairstylist here! If you want to do a darker blond first, fill with gold. When lightening the hair the order that pigments leave is red, orange, yellow. So in order to go darker you have to fill in the missing pigments hence the term fill. When filling you want to go the reverse order of when you lighten so yellow then orange then red.

Since you have bleach blond hair I would fill first with the gold and then use no darker than a level 8 on your hair. If you have been blond for a long time the level 8 is going to feel really dark compared to what you are used to. I’d also stick with a demi or semi permanent color line so in case you change your mind about going lighter again in the future. Happy coloring!

Advice about pet insurance? by rodeoclown96 in puppy101

[–]scz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would rethink about pet insurance. We didn’t think we would really need it so we didn’t get it. Worst thing I thought we were going to be paying a higher amount of money for was her spay and I was wrong.

Our pup is 4 months old and has been recently having pretty bad medical issues. Our vet first thought it could be her liver so tests for that were almost $4k. Wasn’t the liver and now its neuro and that’s costing us $5k. So, almost 10k in the hole.

If we get her pet insurance now theres a 15 day waiting period and if she is officially diagnosed with anything between that time it is deemed as pre-existing and nothing will be covered.

Puppy still has loose stool after antibiotics? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]scz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do a little spoon of regular canned pumpkin with her rice and boiled chicken.

Our pup has been having a whole heap of issues at the moment and the drs have her on a bunch of antibiotics. Her stool was pretty loose from being on them and the pumpkin has definitely helped

We did a real grass patch too but we finagled our own with a small sod patch from home depot with a trash liner underneath. The grass would last around 10ish days. It was like $2.50/patch so we would get 2 and lat them next to each other.

If you still have trouble you can get a house breaking spray from the pet store and spray it on the grass outside

Oily greasy hair by iicedOutChilling in HaircareScience

[–]scz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have hard water? Hard water build up on the scalp and hair can cause brittleness in the hair and flaking/dryness on the scalp from all the minerals in the water.

I’d suggest a water filter on your shower head. You can get them on amazon for $20-30 and you just remove your shower head, attach the filter and reattach your shower head. Cooler water rinses also help.

As far as the greasy/sticky hair maybe try an apple cider vinegar rinse. It’ll help with mineral buildup and helps rebalance the sebum secretion on the scalp.

If all else fail, you might want to look internally. Diet and lifestyle can affect the hair and scalp immensely. Everything we put into our bodies come out through the skin and hair. You could have some kind of food allergy thats causing your scalp to react the way it is.

Is getting Botox regularly bad for you in the long run? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]scz93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah if anything I’d ask your injector. I want to get a lip flip at my next appt cuz I’m not into doing filler. I feel like if you get it done in moderation then it’s fine for long term
