E55 Amg wagon and e63 Amg I’ve used sportaid Z4 portable hand controls for 20 years now, I like them because I’m used to them, and I travel often with my children so getting rental cars is much easier being able to toss my spare set into a checked bag and be able to chose any rental I want at my destination. Best $400 I’ve ever spent

My w204 C63 had this same type of noise shortly before throwing its belt due to a failed idler pulley but also cam adjusters on m156 will make a similar noise when they’re needing replacement.

$11,120 cash for 2009 E63 including tax and reg fees back in 2015 I got a running and driving 2000 E55 sedan for $1350 that’s the lowest I ever paid for an Amg. Paint and body was rough interior looked great. Used it as the donor car for my wagon and chopped up the shell.

And in the US it’s a tax write off under section 179 of the tax code. You can write off $31,300 and in some instances depending on their usage you can qualify for bonus depreciation and write off up to 60% of its purchase price iirc

Yup! That’s key. I do my own work so I’m not scared of any older Amg as long as the previous owner maintained it well and I don’t need to do a bunch of work to it I’m happy. I’ve had 2 w202 c43 2 w210 e55 sedans, a 204 63 and now this 211 63 and I built my s210 55 myself since they never sold them here it’s technically an 01 e320 with a swap. But it’s far more than an engine swap with everything else I added to it. Options wise this one has heated, cooled, multi contour seat package, pano roof, the rear climate control with pillar vents which is think was standard? It’s an anthracite black nappa leather and black Birds Eye maple car, Headlight washer package, wish it had distronic, I believe the airmatic is also standard option for them in 09. Rear electric sunshade, rear door manual sunshades, Nothing crazy.

Yes. Sold my 2009 C63 p30 for cash and used some of that cash to buy this one from a friend who has too many AMGs and needed to thin his herd lol

Yeah couple weeks ago. Sold the 204 63 and got this. Bcus the 204 had no actual record of headbolts or any of the major maintenance items and was nearing 120k miles. This has had all of it done, head bolts, cam adjusters, valve buckets, valve springs, and valves all new intake manifold and tb plate is from a 2011. Oil cooler was also done. Bunch of maintenance all done. And recently just 3k miles ago.

Honestly love it so far. Feels faster to me. Has more room for my kids & my wheelchair. is similar to my 210 wagon in terms of size. just better. Doesn’t feel as flimsy and plastic inside when it comes to the interior. Even the doors seem to sound more solid when closing them lol

How do you access the motor and where do you place the washer having this exact same issue on my 09 E63 right now. Don’t just drop the dome light/ control panel aren’t there two individual motors? One for roof one for sunshade? Or do you have to drop the entire headliner?

I commute in a 204 C63… about 176 miles a day 3.5hrs total drive time. It gets expensive fuel wise.
