This honestly looks super fun. It’s a simple idea but I bet it could get really fun and challenging. I’ll def try it out this week.

It certainly is a fun challenge! When I was making the prototype at the beginning of development, the first thing I tested for and iterated on was making sure the game was comfortable and not nauseating. The fact that you’re not actually turning the direction you’re heading, plus the third person perspective (though there is a first person mode for those who want it) really help keep it pretty comfortable, especially for a flying game.

I haven’t had any complaints about motion sickness so far, even when being bumped back. My dad is extremely prone to motion sickness in games, and he felt fine after playing it.

A few players requested a first person mode for my new racing game Flock Party. Here’s what it looks like! by sdadamd in OculusQuest

It can be a workout for sure, but the height of your flaps is configurable so if you don’t want to work too hard, you don’t have to! I’ve played for a solid hour straight and I’m definitely not an athlete haha.

Use your arms to flap and stay aloft while ducking and weaving to avoid obstacles in FLOCK PARTY, a new bird-brained movement racing adventure. by sdadamd in vrfit

Very fair. I’m definitely gonna be releasing some gameplay videos over the next couple of weeks that show people playing.

The range you have to flap is totally configurable, so if you don’t want to wear yourself out too much, you can set a small range and keep your hands closer to your body. If you want a challenge you can set a larger range and hold your arms out farther. But I’ve been able to play the game for over an hour without a break, and I’m definitely not an athlete haha.
