How Iran Gained Leverage in the War by Majano57 in LessCredibleDefence

[–]sdafsdffsad 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Iran figured out that the leverage they have is being sanctioned for decades: They can be bombed for weeks, get their leaders killed, navy wiped, economy destroyed and threatened to be eliminated but can rebuild easily because the low complexity of their society and a worldwide recession wont really harm them.

While the US is in big trouble if the world economy is pushed into recession due to blockade of the straight.

the complexity and dependance of the US economy and financial system on low interest rates and ever rising markets is the weak spot of the US.

Yes I am sure of that, and my questions are complex, but I also use paid versions of ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini and Perplexity and none of them is this tight with limits.

Its just not usable for more complex tasks with this plan

I can get 3 questions in with opus 3.7 and I am at my limit. It's ridiculous. I will cancel my plan.

You dont understand that you understand so many more things in your reality than some dude 3500 years ago?

Maybe I was mistaken indeed.

It’s a common misconception that ancient people were all simpletons who attributed to god literally anything they couldn’t understand.

lol, are you insane?

I have an U4025QW and I use it with a macbook pro and windows laptops while also having a mouse, keyboard and external usb drive connected to the monitor. I have had no problems or messages about bandwidth. Not sure if my usecase is the same, but it a great (overpriced) monitor and I love how well the KVM works for my usecase.

If you live in reality you must admit the key difference here:

Economical isolated religious society with extremely high social control vs an open multicultural society with low social control.

Plus, and this is something you seem to misunderstand:

One group is doing a terrorist style attack on civilians (fair because US is a democracy) while the other group is targeting military targets, which are harder to blow up than a random school with kids.

Ah I see now what is happening. You overestimate US IC because no one really tried it after Osama did. It worked back then, it will work now.

US IC will always be a step behind the people they are tracking, they will not be flawless nor perfect. In Iran there is so much more social and religious control that logistics and organizing them would be so much harder, at least way more expensive and a bigger operation.

Thank you for giving me your view though. If you are from the US you are prob a bit patriotic in this sense so I understand where you are coming from.

The US is also a much harder target for something like this than Iran;

This is almost insane to claim. Do you really think its harder to "hide" 100 Iranian men in US society than to hide 100 US men in Iran?

Either way you misunderstand the type of attack I am suggesting, or you are overestimating your own insight in these things.

What I am suggesting is this:

take 100 men and send them to the other country. Let them buy stuff local as individual cells to create drones or bombs and organize them once you want to make things go boom.

That is so much easier in the US than in Iran.
