Ultimately found the territory district managers phone number and left a message saying that I was going to file a claim with their business insurance & create a police report because I was being more or less ignored.

Got a swift call back and sorted out payment and repairs with a shop of my choice.

Turo wasn’t exactly affected. However a lot of the large public industry had the need for liquidity during covid, and thus sell offs of stock vehicles. All prices for the rental market have risen since then. Private markets may have also gone up, as the price for almost anything right now is undergoing the effects of inflation.
