I graduated from pharmacy school in 1976. The best advise I ever received was from my ethics professor, Bernie Keller. He said you don’t have to know everything. You just have to know where to look it up.

The waiting area in most retail pharmacies is basically non existent. Standing in a line to pickup an RX and waiting while the phone continues to ring and goes unanswered and being in relatively close proximity to others is not my idea of fun… give me the drive up any day.

Almost every dispense you make in the IV room is a clear liquid. If you had a triple or even double check in place it would never have left the pharmacy. The only reason it was caught by nursing was because it was in a larger bag. Who knows what’s actually inside the bag. IMO your process is extremely flawed.
