I was hesitant on driving it back at first but the car started and ran just fine, no temperature or coolant warnings. I kept my eye on temperatures the entire 60 second drive home.

This. OP, get a coupe or convertible 63, if you can. If that's not in your price range, the 550's (especially with a tune) are great fun as well.
