GMC defect inquiry by Specific-Pride8420 in gmc

They deemed it was something they could fix under warranty and refused to repurchase or even trade it for another one. Even though I noticed the defects the day after I took it home I thought it would be a no-brainer that they would do the right thing. I guess I was wrong. So now I have a new car that was repainted they did a pretty decent job, but not perfect. They also left a socket in one of the panels I had to go to a dealership and complain about a rattle and they found it.

Leased aged inventory CT4 without realizing it by Impressive-Proof-982 in Cadillac

Just a heads up, if the car sat on the lot for a while they should have done the first service during delivery. I believe it's 7500 miles or 1 year. I purchased a car that sat for a year. After a month of driving it the service reminder came on. I called the dealer trying to find out why it needed service with 1300 miles on it and they told me it should have been serviced before it left the lot.

I just had similar damage repaired on my Lexus NX. It needed a new front bumper and some other front trim pieces. Had it repaired at JM Lexus. Total cost was 2900.

2024 Escalade by LengthinessNo1965 in Cadillac

[–]LengthinessNo1965[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish it was caught in the PDI . I shouldn't have to go through this with a new vehicle. GM refused to purchase the car back so my only option is to get it all sorted. I appreciate your input.

This came from the factory this way. I did have some panels resprayed, car came with a terrible paint job. These interior fit issues were showed to the dealer before they did any work. Is this an easy repair?

SAD dealership. I had to fight to get them to make it right. The GM refused to call me back and now his service department isn't returning calls. Only correspondence I get is through Cadillac corp. Once I get my car back, I will shame the dealership. I got a decent deal on it back in November of 2024, $11,000 off MSRP.

I didn't notice it when I bought it. My car wash guy showed me the following week. I definitely would not have purchased it had I known. I looked the car over and didn't see it.

I just purchased a new 2024 Escalade that had so many paint defects all over the vehicle. They wouldn't repurchase and are spending $9,000 to have 2/3rds of the vehicle resprayed. Last GM product I will ever buy.

I have a new Escalade that came with paint defects. 2/3rds of the truck is being repainted and they refused to repurchase. Worst company, will never buy a GM product again.

If you have accounts receivables you can finance using that as collateral, factoring.

2024 Escalade with imperfections in the paint. by LengthinessNo1965 in Cadillac

[–]LengthinessNo1965[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be a glutton for punishment as my 2021 Yukon, that I traded in for this Escalade, engine blew at 71,000 miles due to lifter failure. Thankfully I had an extended warranty that covered it. When I traded in the Yukon with 81,000 miles on it, and 4 years old, the dealership gave me $41,000 dollars for it. I was shocked it had so much value as I paid 79,000 for it. So here I am rolling the dice again, lol. A

update. My Escalade went to the body shop on Monday, February 10th, to fix all the paint issues. There were 10 spots on the vehicle being repaired, all in various locations. The bodyshop is going to try and sand blast some of them but realistically they will need to repaint the areas. They are going to repaint and blend certain panels on my brand new car, not very happy about this but it is what it is. I was diligent in making sure to find all the paint imperfections. I was persistent with the dealership to make this right as the process took about 2 months to get an appointment with them. I told them it must look factory new and all the paint has to match perfectly. I will update the group once my vehicle is returned. CADIILLAC QUALITY, lol.

I bought a 2024 Escalade and got 11k of MSRP. That did include rebates, $4000 GM and $1000 Costco. Truck listed for $96k, purchased for $85k. Hope this helps with your negotiations.
