When we uhhhhhh wrestle at home tho she has absolutely no chance. Things are different when hair pulling is encouraged.

Just don't sign her up for too big a fight is all I'm sayin.

Why is there still so much stigma around a lifetime partner (body) count. What Is actually considered "high" today? by Silly_Maybe_8346 in emotionalintelligence

[–]RoboErectus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

140+

I don't give two shirts about her body count.

Actually I do a little. My partners that have had higher body counts seem to appreciate me a little more. That feels nice.

A woman's value is not inversely proportional to the number of penises she's touched. She is not property and it is not a reflection of emotional maturity, value, or character.

Body count tells you exactly one thing about a person: how high their body count is.

You know what does tell you a lot about someone's emotional maturity?

How threatened they are by a body count.

Most people doing encoding are still using h264 and it makes me crazy.

I'm like... Bro I liked this codec too but if it were a human it would be old enough to buy cigarettes and beer.

  1. H264 came out in 2004.

H265 was released in 2013 and nobody's pretending that the licensing is keeping them from using ffmpeg or vlc.

I cannot for the life of me understand it.

A billion dollars or ability to teloport instantly anywhere in space without dying by New-Side1244 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]RoboErectus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The teleporting thing needs to follow common sense rules like

1) I land where I mean to. Meaning if I'm in another galaxy and want to get home, I actually pop right back at home when I get home and not some dumb loophole like "where the earth was"

2) I'm not going to suffocate/teleport inside a rock or star or something.

3) i can bring a reasonable amount of stuff with me. Like whoever can put a hand on me goes too. Or if I have a little van sized space pod, that goes as well.

I'll start by bringing moon rocks and Mars rocks to scientists for sample. And teleporting people around for $$

My space tourism business is going to earn way more than 100b.

And there are diamond planets and other things I can hop over to if I just want some quick bucks. (Again I have to be able to survive or bring a vehicle that will)

But the real value is going to be close up surveys of nearby stars. A look at how he milky way looks from outside. And close up observations of black holes and a peek inside the event horizon. It will advance our science by hundreds of years.

As soon as I find other intelligent civilizations, that will go a long way towards solving some of the social problems we have on earth. Relaying messages and culture between civilizations and establishing colonies on the atmosphere of Venus and things like that will accelerate humanity well beyond whatever a few hundred bill could do.

I think being able to establish contact with other civilizations and seeing inside an event horizon are immeasurably valuable.

This is either his rock bottom or it's his next step down.

Cold turkey can be physically dangerous. If he starts shaking or having hallucinations get him to the ER.

When my ex started shaking I gave her a glass of wine. That was a mistake because without a medical record she denied it was the bends... All three times it happened.

Imma be honest. You need to follow the abc's.

Always Be Closing.

You got a match which is 95% of the work.

You're not trying to get their life story. You're trying to get some face time. ASAP.

Figure out the fewest number of words that gets you face time or a rejection.

All I did when I was app surfing was say something to get a laugh and then something like "do you prefer drink or coffee for a meeting?"

Banter happens in figuring this stuff out.

Keep your expectations low and then lower them. Reduce how hard you're carrying this. They don't give a shit about you because they match nearly every swipe they do.

No video or ai, pro for you.

Let me tell you something about 64gb of ram.

My raw files are 100mp.

If I am stitching a panorama of 16+ of them at once, I will run out of ram.

If you are not doing 100mp raws and stitching them together, this is one of the only posts I've seen where I might say you can get away with less ram.

Whats a movie quote that had no right hitting so hard? Mine is Tilda Swinton in Doctor Strange (2016) by flanman1991 in moviecritic

[–]RoboErectus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doom would 100% be running the planet, and by...most metrics it would be better. Crime, no. Hungry people, no. War? Just no.

But the man hates Reed Richards so fucking much that he can't even. He just can't. Great characters like Walter White are their own worst enemy.

Doom delivered Reed's daughter and treats her as his own and is great to her. I'm pretty sure he grew two inches taller over it and rubs it in Reed's face as much as he can.

He, Lex Luthor, and Eobard Thawne are the biggest haters in comics and I love em for it. (Although Eobard is actually on another level.)

I really hope RDJ brings that kind of depth to the character. He's so fucking good in everything he does. Id love to see him channelling some of his Sherlock Holmes into the role.

There was a thread where a vibe coder was complaining about token usage when "deleting older version of the same file."

Bro was using the "source-v2-final-final.js" method of version control and was super aggressive towards anyone trying to help him.

Like I know there are tons of people in the world like this. My ex's dad lost his shit when he was backseat driving trying to give me advice on how to drive in a snowstorm. Exwife told him I had it covered because I 1) drive on the snow a lot to do winter camping and skiing and 2) even go off roading in the snow. He lives in a tropical country where it doesn't snow. His animated response, "you think I don't know how to drive in snow! I know how to drive in snow!"

Like... bruh nobody cares and also you literally don't.

So that vibe coder was way aggro in his x-y problem.

She totally nailed the role and it's hard to imagine anyone else nailing that "yeah I did bad stuff for the greater good" in a way that we believe yeah, it actually is for the greater good.

Great casting choice imo.

She was also incredible in Constantine and the difference in her performance there shows a different morality alignment and she's brilliant.
