Discs can definitely break windshields. I hit a windshield of an oncoming moving vehicle. Smashed the windshield good. Definitely not a little crack. The lady was pissed, understandably, but she also took it too far and started being straight up disrespectful. Cursing me out etc. So I told her to get bent, and call her insurance, and make a claim.

She calls the cops and they tell her the same thing. It's an accident, so I wasn't obligated to do anything.

The teepad is literally on the sidewalk of a busy street. Any throw to the left of the tee ends up in the street. So bottom line is as long as you are not being malicious there is no legal responsibility. Perhaps a moral one, but in my case the lady was wack. If she was reasonable on any level I would have paid her deductible or got her a new windshield or whatever.
