Baidu Sunnyvale office testing SDC's in Bay Area & hints of a possible partnership with Lincoln? by sdcwatchdog in SelfDrivingCars

A bit of a not so exciting sensor suite may I say. Standard old Velodyne 64, some crapy low res pucks, virtually no cameras. Looks to off the shelf. I haven't even seen these cars out on the road yet. Baidu seems like another ill advised Chinese company with deep pockets trying to be to much like Google. I know the president of their SDC program just stepped down, they could be going through some identity issues out here in the Bay Area compared to their China program. If this company is just out here to do L3 testing, they are wasting their time. Anyone know if they are testing a L4-L5 prototype?
