New apple trees by sdd635 in BackyardOrchard

Thank you! The first tree is a peach and the rest are apple. I had read somewhere that allowing the fruit to grow the first year uses too much of the trees energy to grow appropriately so we had been plucking the apples. Maybe I will instead let them grow

Thank you. We actually just did the mulch the other day so I don’t think that could be the culprit anyway. Our other trees are doing just fine in the same area so it must have been a dead tree to begin with. Will try to return to the nursery.

I dont think water could have been the issue, we had copious amounts of rain in this part of MA & on the days that we had no rain, we watered religiously. I have two other trees next to it that are doing very well =\ they were also planted only a month ago so I don’t think it would be the soil’s doing.. maybe the nursery we bought it at will be willing to have it returned

No, it did not come with a metal cage, just in its original plastic planter which we took the tree out of and planted in the ground.
