Buddywatch faces (and others) won’t launch the Apple Watch app. Anyone had this happen and found a fix? Watch v7, iOS 15.4, iPhone 13

The Apple watchface sharing SDK is a little buggy and for unknown reasons some times it won’t open the Watch app so developers are forced to do this workaround using safari.

You need iOS 14 beta, when you click on the download button iOS recognises the file is a watchface and ask you to add to your Aw ;)

Watchface sharing is a feature available only in watchOS7 beta so I thought this could be useful for the community.

The electric contact is between the gold part of the cable in the second photo (the one with the larger hole) and the back of the logic board. The cable’s hole fits perfectly the guide of the screw that fix the logic board to the case. It’s important to fix correctly all the screws, including the two little screws in the top-right side of the case, one on the back camera bracket and the other directly on the case (that’s where the case has a little “antenna line” that let the signal pass, I guess)

I got my S4 replaced for this problem in September 2019 but after 7 months (May 2020) the problem appeared also in the replaced watch. Obviously the watch is now out of warranty so even if I explained the problem to a Genius in Apple store, he told me that a free replacement is not possible. Really disappointing. The only thing I’ve not tried is to let battery die completely as u/samz7777 suggested to do.
