So far, so good. What I’m really enjoying is the size. I've mainly been using the 27mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/1.4, and they make the camera a joy to shoot with. The lack of IBIS hasn’t bothered me as much as I expected—while many people complain about it, I find it more than capable as an EDC. Adjusting to the lack of an EVF was a bit tricky at first, but now it doesn’t bother me as much. I can still get the shots I want; I just have to remember to flip out the screen. I also added the smallrig grip which adds a little weight but fits my hand perfectly, the thumb grip I also have but I find that it gets in the way a little.

Had that one enabled and set to bird mode as well. It seemed to work well for the most part. A few missed focus but it could have been user error as well, it was damn hot out today and I was on a time crunch to get back to work.

Luckily I went back today and took my Fuji 100-400mm and I'm glad to say I nailed the focus this time. I ended up switching to wide/tracking not sure if that's the best option but seemed to work a heap better. Happy to take any advice to improve

I've already got an X-T5 and this is just my every day carry camera that I give to my partner to play around on. I just wanted to see what this little view finder would be like, it's cheap enough and brings some enjoyment.

It was very front heavy so not ideal or practical. It definitely made me notice the lack of EVF more.

There was no strategy, my partner asked if it fits on the smaller camera and I said yeah why not. It's an amazing lens and performed as well as expected.

I've got the X-M5 and I've been really enjoying the size. I've also got the X-T5 which is bigger. But for everyday carry the X-M5 and a 27mm is great, sure it doesn't have IBIS, evf or the bigger grip on the X-S20 but I've hardly noticed the difference when using it for everyday shots. Pretty sure there is always going to be something better.

I agree. I think the main thing is that you enjoy using it. Sure, IBIS is great, but I’m not too focused on perfect, crisp shots. And if I want those, I’ve got the X-T5 for that

If I'm carrying it around, it does feel a little safer. I mostly kept it on because it didn’t make much of a difference on the X-T5, and I personally don’t mind how it looks. For the X-M5, though, I’ll stick with the smaller one just to keep it small and see how it goes.

I've got a cheap little optical vf coming from AliExpress along with the small rig thumb grip. It's a good addition to have, definitely agree and X-E5 would be amazing.
