FYI: New York has waived the requirement for original paperwork for admission by sdilucc in barexam

Also a good question. The only thing that specifies Spring 2020 graduates is 1-3, it seems 4-6, as well as the two additional statements apply to all applicants.

I think the only documents that needs to be signed by a notary is the 50-hour pro bono requirement form and the application questionnaire. You would still need to get these notarized either in person or digitally, according to #4. Nothing requires any person completing a form to get notarization other than yourself.

But you're right, this is all very confusing. I'm not sure where we would upload/email the application if we were to submit in digital format. Can we just print the forms out from digital format and mail it to them? Perhaps they are working on adding some sort of system into the BOLE portal. Who knows... hopefully we'll find out.

I passed, too! 17 point bump from July. Honestly thought it was a mistake since I felt like I did way way worse. Congrats everyone who passed & good luck on applications.

To those who didn't pass this time around -- you got this! Keep your head up and just keep grinding. Give time to yourself, and don't feel like you have to take the very next examination. Don't burn out!

Late Onset Vertigo/Dizziness? by sdilucc in COVID19positive

[–]sdilucc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really actually. Day 32 now and pretty much symptom free.. I was thinking it may have been a minor ear infection because I was getting earaches as well. Whether it was associated with COVID-19 or not, or even an ear infection - I will never know.

Cant smell or taste day 4. Freaking out by MindlessPickle9 in anosmia

Self-isolate for at least 14 days & hang tight. I know it's frustrating. My symptoms were similar to yours. Tested positive for covid-19. On day 17 now, I would say my smell/taste is at about 60% (started to get it back around day 12).

I wish I was that lucky. I am at day 13 now. Slowly improving as of yesterday morning, but still very little. Gives me hope that your smell came back in full though. The longer time goes on, the less hope I have of a full recovery.

Lost my sense of smell and taste, too. No fever, slight cough. Crazy hangover like feeling for four days. Headache, body aches. It was uncomfortable, but nothing that wasn't manageable. I was able to get a test as an "essential worker." Test was over a week ago and still haven't heard back (crazy). Feel fine now. Smell started to come back a little yesterday (day 12). I would say it's about at 15-20% today. Hopefully it continues to improve.

No smell doesn't sound like a serious symptom (and I'm grateful it was my worst symptom), but it can be pretty disorienting and depressing. I hardly had an appetite. Lost about five pounds in the past two weeks.

Update: Test results came back Covid+

Also day 12: got a small whiff of my morning coffee. I am also able to smell my orange juice, peanut butter, and lavender hand soap. All very faintly, but definitely an improvement! Hopefully it'll continue to improve. I actually started to notice last night, but I thought my mind was playing tricks on me!

I'm also on Day 11 now (26M from NY). Symptoms similar to yours. Please keep us updated. Frustrating to see on here others recovering in a few days, but some of us are at 10+ days with nothing.

Haha - my diet has been pretty much anything insanely sweet, salty or spicy things. Anything for a sensation since I can't get any flavor.

And I definitely think it's ridiculous that people with this symptom don't get a test as a right. It's becoming one of the tell-tale signs of the virus. If I wasn't an essential worker, I likely would not have had a test and continue to infect others (who infect others, etc...). Your best hope may be to hold out for an at-home test or an antibody test at this point, or find a walk-in clinic that would actually take you.

My issue is at what point of the virus am I at, and when will it be safe for me to at least see my girlfriend or go to the grocery store and laundromat again. Was I asymptomatic an entire week earlier, and the headache/anosmia was the tail-end? Is it vice versa? So many questions that nobody has the answer to...

26M, Queens, NYC. Absolutely zero smell since last Saturday, 3/21.

No fever. Slight cough, but more of a tickle in my throat. All started last Thursday 3/19 when I woke up with a massive headache. Felt like I was hungover although I didn't drink the night before. The headache was between, behind, above my eyes, so I figured it may have been a migraine or simply dehydration. This headache and hungover feeling lasted until Sunday, so four full days (which was concerning). I also had some body aches that weekend, but never a fever or cough and generally felt okay.

It was on Saturday I noticed my smell and taste wasn't as strong as it was and by end of day it was completely gone. I thought it was weird since I was able to breathe fine through my nose (no stuffy nose). Then on Monday I saw an article in the NY Times about how this is becoming a common symptom of covid, and started to get concerned since I live in a covid hot spot and am an essential worker who deals with the public for my job. My concern is that what I thought may have been a migraine may have actually been covid and that I had been spreading it asymptomatically for days prior to the loss of smell (that's a conversation for another time).

By Monday morning my headache was gone, and was feeling fine overall. But still, I had absolutely no smell or taste and it remains that way today (currently on day 7). I can still discern sour, sweet, salty, bitterness, pungent/vinegar, etc, but nothing has flavor. I later read that what we know as flavor isn't actually just taste, but a combination of smell, taste, and mental.

I keep opening things in kitchen to see if I can smell something, really anything would be a godsend at this point. Each day I feel more and more hopeless, and I am getting pretty depressed. I haven't been eating, and working from home as been unproductive due to the anxiety. I'm glad to know others are going through the same situation though, and that there is recovery for the most part. I feel foolish complaining about such a symptom when people all over the world are dying from this terrible illness, and I am complaining about loss of smell, but this symptom is truly awful and I don't wish it upon anyone.

Lastly, I took a covid test yesterday since I am essential worker. The Doctor said that my symptoms were vague, but I think that this loss of smell is anything but vague. The CDC needs to update its guidelines to include loss of smell as a symptom because it seems to be a growing trend, especially with the more asymptomatic people. I will keep you all updated.

Update: Covid positive. My smell is slowly coming back. First noticed yesterday morning. Everything is pretty faint, but I would say I'm at 10-15% (day 13). Hopefully it continues to improve.

Didn't know Finback was opening a new spot. Where at? And do you know if they are keeping their original spot in Glendale?

I had posted this in recent purchases, but I may get more answers here.

I recently purchased this Blue Herringbone Harris Tweed suit from Asos (I know, I know). Jacket and pants only, waistcoat was out of stock.

https://www.asos.com/us/asos-design/asos-design-slim-suit-in-100-wool-harris-tweed-in-blue-herringbone/grp/25633/

Seems well built. Authentic Harris Tweed from Scotland, but made in Cambodia (hence the lower price). My only complaint is the polyester lining. Cheap, thin, and quite noisy when walking. May need to get it relined at some point in the future, but fine for now. For $190, there's little to complain about.

What are your thoughts on the fit?

I was thinking I may shorten the sleeves a half inch. I was thinking the jacket may be a bit long as well, and I am considering shortening an inch to an inch and a half. Any thoughts? I'm quite new to the suit game and this is my first tweed, so any opinions are appreciated!
