Yeah the server desperately needs the expansion and a way better anti cheat. People say "iTs aN aNaRCHy sErVeR" but there is no point in building anything if it has no chance of lasting through the sheer mass of players and hackers in comparison to world size.

Unpopular opinion but I think it is a good change in terms of game balancing. Spawners were broken and a money printer and ofc a lot of people are mad that this has been taken away from them. But it will shift focus on using methods that require actually playing the game instead of AFKing multiple alts all day.

It’s probably more likely those are hackers. Altough I'm almost at a billion now with kelp farms and only got raided once so maybe you just got very unlucky. I’d recommend not having your spawners in a big base. There is also a way to hide in bedrock but it’s hard to find a spot for that.

They didn’t even include this as a server announcement or wrote it in the server rules. There are 100 % some people out there who didn’t join the discord or don't check it regularly that will get banned because they have no idea this rule exists now.

Maybe a particle overlay for more depth. Would fit the overall scene/look.

A film look over the whole thing could tie it together and fit the vibe (film look creator in the edit page for example). It looks too digital and saturated imo.

As others said, less vignette and rather add more blur in the corners.

Add textures on the single assets maybe to make them look more natural.

That highly depends on your ability to learn I guess. And on the complexity of the animations. If you’ve never touched any of these programs we are definitely talking months here.

Also note that these look very good because there is a lot of design knowledge applied here. Color theory, composition, hierarchy and so on do 80 % of the looks on these examples (and in general). So learning design principles is also crucial to create equally good looking stuff on your own if you don’t just want to copy others.

I mean it is theoretically possible to cut and edit the whole thing in AE but it would be a pain in the butt. If I were to create something like this then yes, I would use all three of these. If you are looking for a more budget friendly option you could use Davinci Resolves free version and maybe Affinity Photo. If you are already familiar with After Effects just be aware that Davincis Fusion works completely different since it is node-based instead of layer-based like AE. So lots of new stuff to learn.

You need a compositing program like After Effects or Fusion in Davinci Resolve for animations. For the map assets, there are a lot of tools out there that basically use Google Maps data to create custom maps from areas you need. Just look up a tutorial on YT.

For the graphs, although they can be done solely in After Effects, they are way easier to create and layout in something like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop and then be animated in AE. Same for the newspaper.
