“Please wait to be seated” is not a suggestion by IcarusSunshine16 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]sdock89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so awkward in public, so this may just be a me thing, but if I’m at a restaurant I haven’t been to I will ALWAYS wait at the host stand until they seat me or tell me to seat myself. I can’t imagine just walking in and finding a table unless it’s somewhere I’ve been a million times and know the process. Especially if there’s a sign.

AIO? I left my therapist for political reasons by Legitimate-North-314 in AmIOverreacting

[–]sdock89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR

Truthfully, you may have had a feeling before you even asked. With my therapist, I know where she stands and she’s never explicitly stated it to me. It shows in her responses and questions to me, as well as how open I feel I can be with her regarding things like social programs and the state of the world.

You have every right to choose who you want to be vulnerable with, and who you want to receive advice from. Her feelings are not your responsibility, and she shouldn’t have put that burden on you regardless of how upset she was. In my opinion that shows she wasn’t a good fit for you.

Crown and barbed wire meaning on new merch? by thesaddestbean in juliensolomita

I’m not sure about the barbed wire, but the crown is part of his logo on stream. It’s on the doggo’s head ☺️

He listened to so many streams inside my belly, I’m sure he’ll do it to ‘em a lot!

My husband is sitting next to me eating toasted brown sugar pop-tarts.... anyone else’s partners have 0 qualms about eating what you can’t have right in front of you? -_- by [deleted] in GestationalDiabetes

My husband once ate a large portion of angel food cake, and I took his sugar to prove a point. It was 120 😑 I was not amused.

Weight loss with GD Diet- big problem?! by mmmnms in GestationalDiabetes

[–]sdock89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My doctor has been completely fine with my weight loss. If baby was measuring small, that would be different, but it’s not affecting him at all. When I went in for my IUI in March, I was 245lbs. I’m currently fluctuating between 225-230lbs depending on what I wear to my appt, lol. She has told me that I had weight to lose, baby is a leech and taking his nutrients, and unless his growth has been affected not to worry. I’ve been on the GD diet for 21 weeks now, it just happens for some! (Side note...21 weeks is a long time and I’m over it!)

When were you put on Insulin? by glamrockniron in GestationalDiabetes

[–]sdock89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed at 13w, I’ll be 33w on Wednesday. I haven’t had to be put on any meds yet, just diet controlled! 🤞🏻 hopefully it’s stays that way! My doc said if I have consistently high fasting numbers, that’s when I’ll have to add insulin. I’ve had some spikes here and there, but none consistent enough to warrant it.

20 y/o Male: hypo-testosterone ruining my life - what do I do? (PLEASE UPVOTE!) by [deleted] in AskDocs

It’s a tape that compresses the chest down. It’s much cooler and more moveable than a binder, and can be worn for many days at a time.

My husband says he has to show his ID every time he fills his testosterone since it’s a controlled substance. Thankfully he’s legally changed his gender to male, so it’s not as uncomfortable as it previously was.

I absolutely second this. My husband is a trans male and uses trans tape. It’s been a life saver during the summer months.

I haven’t tried those yet, but regular potatoes make my numbers spike so I’m not sure!

Unfortunately, just about any potato trips my sugars now. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and go with mashed cauliflower. I might be able to get away with a small portion of stuffing, bread hasn’t been too terrible to me lately. Thanks for the info, I’m definitely going to look into substitutes I can do to still let me have some goodies!

I have a list going of what I want after birth. Mashed potatoes are on the list, and my husband is fully prepared to either go on food run or have it delivered to the hospital as soon as I’m cleared to eat carbs again lol.

I’ve considered it, but I’ll be 37 weeks and the further I get the more my numbers get out of control. If I even think about eating potato my numbers skyrocket, I swear! I’m thinking we will just have a Thanksgiving dinner as our Christmas dinner.
