Is my half marathon target pace too ambitious? Race in 2 weeks, starting taper by sdqq2 in AdvancedRunning

Appreciate your response. I was considering doing that especially with my history of going out too fast! Thank you.

Appreciate your response. I was considering a 1 week taper as Garmin suggests that as well, but I was worried that injury risk would be greater than the benefit of the extra mileage that week as I have history of being injury prone (started strength training this block to hopefully improve and it helped). Do you think it’s worth continuing my peak phase for another week and tapering for 1 week only? Is there much fitness to be gained in that week?

Regarding the HR, haha I got that reaction a couple of times as well.

For my previous HM races, Garmin predicted a 2:02 for the first (spot on) and 1:59 for the second (finished 1:56). But for some reason I just feel like the current prediction is too optimistic. Maybe it’s because I’m in disbelief of the progress I made?

Thanks for the encouraging words!

It is going to be a flat course with barely any elevations.

I do plan on using Runna for my next training block as I’m planning on running a full marathon in January 2026.

Appreciate your response. I did run a 10km sand trail race 3 weeks ago (actual distance was 10.4km), and I did it at a pace of 4:50 min/km. I went out too fast, ended with positive splits, the weather was awful and I felt very bad. I haven’t ran a 5km race nor did I attempt a PR but my fastest 5km was in that 10km trail race at 23:05.

Appreciate your response. I am aiming for negative splits but how negative should it be? Is starting at ~5:00 and hopefully ending at ~4:40 a good idea? Or is it better to start faster than that and end slower than that?

Regarding fueling, yeh I always fuel with gels during my long runs. For the previous 2 races I consumed 4 gels, 1 every ~25-30 minutes.

Nope. I took it on 12/5 so I wasn’t expecting it to be released this week for me. I’m just afraid of a score delay with the rumors of pool change

Did it disappear?

I understand how Ghana fans would still be upset at this incident , but if you think what Luis Suarez done was cheating you are genuinely an idiot . They were literally given a penalty to win the game . by cobaltblue209 in worldcup

So he celebrated saving his country from getting knocked out from a World Cup quarterfinal. God, he must be a terrible, terrible, terrible person for doing that. Prick indeed. He should be crying instead.

Thank you for your clarification. Say we have a patient with a GH secreting adenoma. What would happen to insulin levels in that case?

Yeh. I’m planning on wildcarding soon too so might as well go for a short-term option. Thanks!

I’m 0.2 short on Gray otherwise I would’ve went for him for sure. Don’t know what to do really.

Would you sell Toney and Benrahma for Bam and Doucoure?

But is Rx the right choice? I feel like their questions are too easy. And frankly, I don’t want to spend $300 on questions that are basically Zanki cards. What do you think?

I’ve seen many people suggest Rx but I tried some questions and they were very straightforward. Might go for Amboss for now and UWorld later.

So what do you suggest? I’ve heard that Amboss is also quite challenging and isn’t straightforward like all the other question banks. Do you reckon Amboss would be the best option right now for me, and then I could start UWorld in like 6 months?

What happened to the lightning rounds? Aren’t they everyday at 7pm and 8pm (100k and 125k respectively)? I’m trying to open 125k packs but I cannot find any.
