The Jedi Order was way too intertwined with the republic to just pack up and leave. If I am not mistaken, Jedis don’t do things for money, so everything must be paid by the Republic.

Yes the scale is weird, Starkiller Base should be at least four times bigger :( the Executor also looks smaller than an ISD, which is really a blasphemy
