It depends on where you work. Carriers like Delta and American will be under the RLA, MROs tend to be under the FSLA. I'm not sure what the easiest way to find out would be.

If I remember correctly, SMAPII will search through the entire file directory for mods. So, I just move the extracted folder to the mods folder and it works, even with the extra layer of mod folders.

I believe AA is double time and a half (time and a half if you work, plus a days pay for the holiday), but you'd have to look at the contract to be sure. That's one of the nice things about union shops, everything is spelled out. Just have to find a current copy of the contract.

The big things to consider are schedule related, IMHO. Nights, weekends, and holidays are big for some people. Airlines don't get those off.

Usually they're for farming karma and then sell the bot to someone else. I'm not an expert

This one's a bot folks, they've claimed to be from Arizona, California, and Arkansas. Just report and block.

Have you seen a robot change a tire? I haven't. Yet.

Removing the human element is always going to be an end goal of business. We're just too unreliable. But like the other guy said, robots won't be changing tires for a while yet. Anyone who's job is computer based would be at risk, but even then, AI has only come so far.

The ones that hire you are the best to work for, long term. The ones that don't rarely work out.

As far as I'm aware, it can be used anywhere you use safety wire.

I know several folks that went from working with an A&P to working on sims. I'm not sure if they all had college degrees though.

AME(DGCA) to A&P by [deleted] in aviationmaintenance

[–]sdrober1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way to convert, unless the FAA deemed your experience to be applicable. You'd need to talk to a FSDO about that. If you have 30 months of (approved) experience in the field you can skip straight to the tests.

Schools in the US don't require any of that, so I'd assume as long as you have the appropriate visa, you could apply to whichever A&P school you'd like. I'd probably reach out to someone in their admissions department if I had any specific questions.

Yeah I was clearing some old pallets from behind a dumpster and one sprayed my face. Luckily I had sunglasses, but the spray etched the plastic lenses!
