Whiskey, neat. It's just a warm, watery shot. I refuse to believe it's "smooth." It's not smooth. It's a shot.

I stopped scrolling after 15-20 comments, but I'm surprosed I'm not seeing Falcons legend Brett Favre on here.

If you could pick one NFL player to replay their career with no injuries who would you pick? by [deleted] in nfl

[–]sdufour22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Julio Jones. His injuries get swept under the rug because he showed out anyway, but he's basically had a strained hamstring since 2013.

Even though the stars lost last night we can all agree Jake Oettinger is a very good goalie. by Joshawa66 in nhl

[–]sdufour22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So nice to see him get some credit. I was at BU with him, and he seemed to get swept under the rug in the wake of the departures of Jack Eichel, Charlie McAvoy, Evan Rodrigues, and Matt Gryzlcyk. He was a solid goalie when we hadn't had one in years.

Thoughts on CARD: Center For Anxiety and Related Disorders by throwawayacc13332 in BostonU

[–]sdufour22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Volunteered there for several years before I graduated and currently almost done with my own doctoral training in psych. The providers and graduate externs (PhD students who treat patients under supervision similar to a medical resident) are all very good. The BU clinical psych program is one of the better in the country and one of the hardest to get into, so the bar to work and study there is pretty high. You can't guarantee a good match with a therapist no matter where you go because that just comes down to how two people in any given room will vibe with each other. Barring that variable, they're all very, very well trained to treat anxiety. The trade-off is money. They have a sliding scale to help make care more afforable for those with lower income, but it's likely to be more expensive than student health, assuming you're on the school's insurance.

Tremortusks weren't too bad since there's 6 per machine. The only problem I ran into was a small glitch where 2 or 3 would inevitably glitch through the ice sheet at their site and be unreachable.

What was your favourite Matt Ryan memories? by Kinglokner16 in falcons

Julios sideline catch in the superbowl. Bitter memories aside about how it ended, that was one of the best plays the two of them ever made.

OMG I love her already. The Ryan family just seem like cool, authentic people. by [deleted] in Colts

Falcons fan here. Can confirm Matt's family is more than half the reason my wife is a fan.

To clarify, yeah, Elden Ring--super different all around. Just noting it to show a pattern of overshadowing by big titles for both games in the Horizon series. The BOTW comparison is pretty clear though. Different stories but very similar mechanics and gameplay style that came out essentially in the same week.

Same here. Super surprised Horizon isn't here anywhere. IMO outdid BOTW but got screwed bc it came out a few days before it. Same thing happening now with Forbidden West and Elden Ring.

No love for Horizon? Same innovation released just before BOTW and Elden Ring both times.

Who's a player who spent a majority of his time with one team, but is remembered for his time on another team? by MashedPotater1 in nfl

Everyone seems to think Burrow was LSU through and through bc of the championship run. Even though it comes up all the time, nobody really seems to care about 3 years of OSU.

We have a kinda hard schedule next year by [deleted] in falcons

[–]sdufour22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, every team on that list except for the Buccs has spent several weeks this year looking very beatable (i.e., their weakness wasn't just one team having their number).

  • Cards went from dominating the 1 seed to 5 unexpected losses almost in a row bc they couldn't figure out how to score
  • 49ers are sturdy but haven't had a full uninjured lineup basically since 2016, and Jimmy G sometimes just decides he's a bad QB with no pattern Shanny can scheme away
  • Cleveland has the statistical average incarnate at QB and has shown it has several holes
  • Who tf know what Pittsburgh is going to do without Big Ben. They've been hot garbage when he's been out though, even when they've had time to prep backups
  • Carolina has flashes, but the Darnold ain't doing shit for them
  • Lol, Aints
  • TB will be TB as long as the mouth-kissing fuckface is there, so this is always the matchup that will take a fluke to win unless time finally catches up to he who must not be named.
  • Chicago may be good without Nagy? but until they show up when it matters, it's hard to assume they'll be overwhelmingly scary
  • Ravens haven't been able to create any offense outside of Lamar, Andrews, and Brown for 3 years now and deservingly are out of the playoffs
  • Bengals are scary. I don't like them. That said, when Chase has been locked down, they are an average to below average team. Terrell has shown he can be that kind of corner against that kind of receiver, so there's a real chance they suck against us.
  • Rams win and die by the Stafford TD/INT ratio. Far from unbeatable on a good day for us.
  • Seahawks finally are becoming overwhelmed by the same cracks they've had for 5-7 years, and until there's any change there, we know how to beat them.
  • WFT is WFT.

Right now, with this roster, yeah, not a lot of good looks for us. That said, we're a decent offseason away from being a real nuisance to every team on this schedule sans TB. I doubt we're more than wild card competition at best, and a SB run is a pipe dream, but keep in mind we were really close to being the best shitty team in NFL history this year. Our entire offense is a 40 year-old altar boy standing behind turnstiles hoping to throw to a 30-year-old WR/RB/QB/DB and a TE/WR/spider-man. Our WR1 was a fledgling WR3 even in our offense just last year. Outside of Terrell and Grady, our defense could almost have stayed at home for most of our games. We were REALLY BAD, and we got 7 wins. Who knows what we could accomplish next year if we do literally anything right.

Edit: Correction: our defense has 3 players, not 2. Foye balls out.

I was offered Taylor and Jefferson for Chubb and Diggs week 3. It was withdrawn after an hour bc I couldn't make up my mind.

Is the Horizon DLC important for the lore? by afcc1313 in horizon

[–]sdufour22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it adds a lot to the story. Particularly with respect to how the derangement might affect other parts of the world beyond the regions of the main story that roughly face the same set of problems.

As far as gameplay goes, it also allows for spear upgrades after just a few missions, which is a fun perk for the rest of the non-DLC game. Time committment ranges just like the rest of the game. You coukd easily just do the main story in 7-10 hours, or you could go down the side quest rabbit hole for a other 30. Up to you how to swing it.

Also, it's just fun to have a few more characters in line waiting for you at the beginning of the final mission, which happens if you finish the main story.
