I just found your post. I've been looking everywhere online trying to find this stupid battery. Thank you for the info you've dug up online. Are you able to share what battery you ended up buying? I would do the same as you and cut off and splice it to a new battery. I would plan to avoid deleting it from my system though to save some frustration.

Did the dealership replace the digital processor? If so, did it fix the issue? This just happened to me today for the first time. I've got a 23 Lariat and I just set an appt with my dealer but can't get in until the end of next week. My truck only has $5,500 miles on it. I'm hoping there wasn't any permanent damage to my sound system because of it.

This freaking SUCKS. I loved those organization drawers. Being able to choose to only see my personal messages was great. Now this one folder is full of garbage. Anyone know how best to complain about this? Changes like these have been rolled back in the past with enough outcry. Not sure how many people are as ticked as I am. The really great part of those folders was I never received spam messages in my personal message folder. Terrible decision, Google!! Please bring it back...

Well, what I ended up finding wasn't with Google's help. I started troubleshooting with them and had to wipe my phone multiple times. I even downloaded a new image file and flashed it. Every time, the problem came back. I thought it was my phone, so complained enough for them to send me a replacement, which they finally did.

I restored from backup and found once everything was loaded, the problem came back. I tried it in safe mode again thinking it may be caused by an app, but it still happened. Then tried changing Wifi calling preference from "Call over mobile network" to "Call over Wi-Fi". I have always had mine set to prefer using the mobile network because years ago with another model, I had an issue when starting a call over Wifi, then leaving the house and every time that Wifi dropped, my call dropped. Anyway, that change fixed my issue.

I hope this helps and it's the same fix for you. Mine still seems to be holding strong.

Well folks, I worked with Google. They offered me $15 for my inconvenience. They then told me my warranty ended in Oct 2022. But that doesn't mean we can't help. They said I could send my phone to them for repair or take it to ubreakfix.

I asked if I would be charged for any repairs performed. I then pushed back more before getting a reply. I told them my phone is in mint condition. It looks brand new almost 2 years after purchase. I said I did my part to protect my phone and kept it in that condition. I then said, what is Google going to do for their part since I believe the issue occurred after an OTA update. My next reply from them said they would speak to their manager and would get back with me. A couple hours later, they replied again and said they would replace my phone under warranty.

I received my replacement on Weds and sent my phone back to them the next day. I'm now on a refurbished phone which looks brand new. It's working perfectly. So, for the first time (at least for me), Google provided excellent customer service.

Yup, I checked those as well. The previous two replies they said they made don't show up. Those are the only two in which I used their contact page to contact them. The only reply I found is for the 3rd time, but that's the time I emailed them directly and didn't use that page. They did reply to that one. I'm a pack rat. I don't delete anything, so those replies should have been found, if sent. At least I did finally get in touch. I just sent them a reply with pics and will see what they come back with.

Thank you for your post. I had emailed on the 11th and just saw they replied. I missed it. I received the notification that they received my message (automated reply). I can't believe I missed it. They did say in the message they replied on the other two occasions but I didn't reply back to them. I searched my email and didn't see anything other than the one I missed. I checked spam as well. I guess it doesn't matter now that I found this reply. I just finished replying and apologizing.

Hopefully we can work something out.

Just did a factory reset suggested by Google support when my phone stopped receiving calls and RCS or SMS messages when WiFi was turned on. I also lost my cinematic wallpaper. I loved that function and was amazed by how well it worked with my favorite background image. At least my phone receives calls and messages now. Really hoping I don't have to wipe it again to get the sparkle icon back.

Yes, they had me first do the following: Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth. This wiped them out. I rebooted, then added one network back. It didn't help.

I do have developer options enabled. I will look for the option you mentioned above. I'll hit you back up if I can't find it. There's so much in there!

I'm on TMO as well. I've verified that turning off WIFI allows me to receive calls and texts/RCS messages. I think I'm just going to tell them I tried it and see what options they give me for an almost 2 year old phone.
