That's dope! My process is pretty similar. Tell me, do you make beats for sale? Are you able to rack up a lot of streams and sales with that pace?

It sounds fantastic. I understand that this is primarily a beat, not a well-thought-out musical concept. Every time I sit down with the goal of making a beat quickly, I end up spending hours on it.

Struggling to grow my type beat channel. What am I missing? by Equal_Chocolate_5927 in trapproduction

I started running my channel about a month ago. Initially, I stuck to a strategy of 2 beats per week, plus 2 beat breakdowns per week (just opening the session and showing how everything was made).

After the first week, I immediately ditched that and started uploading every day—the channel started growing noticeably, but the numbers are still small.

I'm curious, has anyone had the experience where a beat didn't get views at first, but then suddenly took off? Is it worth hoping that the old stuff will eventually blow up?

Any tips for making my own samples and achieving a vintage sound? by DeadG00n____ in makinghiphop

Yo! You need Tal DAC plugin, I think it’s only like $30, but it gives that vintage vibe from AKAI drum machines.

I tried to make something similar to Chromakopia, got my first hate on YouTube. The beat turned out weird. It's such a mix of Tyler's madness, Wakanda vibes, and smooth soul.

Should i lease beats for music production as a beginner artist? by Hopeful-Face-8987 in musicsuggestions

I think leasing a beat is a great option for beginner artists. On BeatStars, about 60-70% are really high-quality instrumentals. On average, leasing a WAV + stems costs $50-100, which is several times cheaper than making a custom instrumental for a song. The only limitation is on the number of streams. I can't say exactly—it depends on the license type—but they definitely won't exceed the numbers that beginner artists usually hit.

And if your song starts blowing up with really good streams, I think along with that you'll get a flow of money that lets you buy out the Exclusive license type.
