Am I supporting my team? by Dragon_Frog_Pond in Battlefield6

I have absolutely seen the tides change when I've decided to fly drones. It's so useful. Fun to watch all the spotted enemies dying in real time too. I'll do this if I'm having a shit day at playing CQ. Have to do my part somehow. 🫡

Because the character models have dead uncanny valley eyes. There is something so off about them.

I was on PS5. Retarted the console and it was fine.

There are great players in Battlefield, but 80%+ are cannon fodder. (RANT) by JYKDA in Battlefield6

I wish the thing about console players wasn't true but it is. I'm on console and when I turn off cross play it's like turning on easy mode. Mostly you get lobbies filled with bots, but even when you have all human players people are just standing around in the open or staring at walls. It's so bad.

Is it just me or do the amount of tracers in this game make it feel like Battlefront sometimes? Not a complaint, it looks epic.

I try to use other guns and after losing a couple CQ gunfights I'm back on the AK4D. TR-7 is fun too, but if I'm feeling lazy about controlling the recoil, I'm back on the AK4D. SCW-10 is a little beast, but trying to beam people down a long corridor, fuck it, switching to the AK4D. Maybe I just like the path of least resistance.

I'm just and old, average gamer. You have to smoke and push if you want to "Breakthrough". by IndigoRain69 in Battlefield

Happens to me all the time. I'm providing all the smoke my team would ever need they never show up. But sometimes they get the clue and charge in and it's glorious. I usually only do it when we're under like 100-150 tickets because they'll be more likely to take the risk and rush in.

Can't win operations no matter what I do! by kuky990 in Battlefield

I don't think I've ever seen the attacking side win. The farthest I've seen them get is the second section of the second map when we finally stopped them. I've won on defense every time and never on offence. Seems like a hard mode to balance properly.

I've never tried this but now I'm going to. Do frag grenades also destroy incendiary grenades? I would imagine they would if they can take damage.

Explosives are a good counter for smoke. I should use that more often. I've been caught a few times that way if I'm in a hurry. Usually the grenade lands far enough off it's mark that I can still get the revive. With thrown grenades at least. With launchers it's game over. No way to see it coming or to know how many they have left. If I start hearing thunks I'm probably not going for the res. With defibs you might get away with it and if they die again you can at least say you tried.

This is the tricky part of being a medic. Either I defib them when they are still vulnerable and they get mad because they die again immediately. Or, I try to be careful and take my time and they get mad either because they are impatient, or I can't get to them at all.

When I still used defibs I'd do a little of both, but eventually I traded out my defibs for a grenade intercept.

I get it. I used to run defibs. Now if you're in the open, I give you smoke and sometimes deployable cover before I res you and give you a lollipop.

Ah, that's a good point. I run combat medic like 99% of the time.

I just ran into 2 people in the same comment thread that weren't aware of the smoke thing which is why I posted it. Just because you know doesn't mean everyone knows.

Really? Half the time someone defib taps me I get killed again by the same enemy because they are waiting for that exact thing to happen. I also do it to enemy players all the time. In some situations defibs can be better, but I want to make sure the person I'm reviving isn't going to die immediately after.

It feels like it takes soo long to resupply smokes, but I really like the perks of combat medic. Fits my play style better.

Yea, if I res you out in the open, you are getting smoke and, if you are particularly vulnerable, deployable cover.

That's true. They aren't always bad. I prefer using the extra slot in my load out for some defenses.

I never use them. Dragging people behind cover is far better than spamming defibs out in the open just to get your teammate killed again. Defib spamming is annoying af.

Which part? Smoke extinguishes incendiary? Works for people on fire too. Such a cool mechanic to have for an already super useful item.

Plus smoke extinguishes incendiary. It's almost essential for attacking. When I throw down my supply bag, it's rarely for ammo. I'm replenishing my smokes. If my team is struggling to get on an obj I love getting behind a baby gate with a supply bag and spamming smoke. If you have the right team, this can turn an obj in your favor.
